Not a huge note or story, but someone on here asked last week about the nutritionist position in the athletic department. Nothing formal has been said, but the name I have heard as a possible hire is a lady by the name of Stephanie Horvath from the University of Illinois.
Stephanie Horvath started at Illinois as Director of Sports Nutrition in 2015.
Most recently, she served as the Sports Nutrition Associate at the University of Notre Dame prior to her arrival at the University of Illinois.
Horvath was a Big Ten athlete herself, attending Indiana University where she competed on the Varsity Women's Rowing team for four years. She then moved on to Kent State University where she completed a combined dietetic internship and master's degree program in Nutrition. After earning her first master's degree, she completed a second master's degree in education from Virginia Tech while working as the Sports Nutrition Graduate Assistant.
Born in Racine, Wis. just outside Milwaukee, Horvath grew up in South Bend, Indiana. She is a Board Certified Sports Dietitian within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and an active member of CPSDA, the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association.
Just said goodbye to my wife's cousin, a massive Gator fan from central Florida who was in visiting this weekend. Reminded me that no one respects Tennessee football anymore. He chuckled about our 11 game losing streak and then at various times praised Bama, UGA, Auburn, and LSU as being other SEc programs he respects because of their winning tradition at football.
I cannot deal when somebody walks in my house and starts bashing or disrespecting the Vols. It's happened a couple of times and I always get pissed and say something terrible. I end up looking like a jerk because it seems like I'm overreacting to "friendly" banter. But you just don't go into another mans home and talk bad about his football team. This is the south. Have some damn class.

Option #2:
Turn around and walk to garage to get a shovel and a measuring tape.
Ask the offending person to hold the shovel.
Then proceed to measure height, width, and thickness. Say the numbers out loud.
Nod to yourself, then say thanks and take the shovel back.
Then smile and ask that they accompany you out back.
