Maggitt finished with 3 tackles for loss

He's joining the Dudley Boyz? :hmm:

After doing some digging and talking to several people, it appears that Nigel Warrior had himself an afternoon in Tennessee's first major scrimmage. One person told us that a couple of the blows he delivered were "bone-crushing" and he had several tackles for loss.

Offensively the offensive line did a solid job with Brett Kendrick having a nice day. Marcus Tatum also showed he can get it done being a newcomer.

Both Dormady and Guarantano had nice days throwing the football with Marquez Callaway having his best afternoon of his young career with a couple of nice grabs.

As the scrimmage went on the offense got better and the passing game came alive pretty good. Josh Malone had a good day making several nice catches. Tyler Byrd got plenty reps as he's working more and more to be in the rotation.

The defense won the scrimmage early on for sure and was "fast" from what have been told. Shoop's unit was aggressive and are challenging the offensively with their schemes and movement. Kyle Phillips who has had a nice camp had another good day on Saturday.

He said Hurd and Kamara were limited to keep them healthy, also said Warrior had a great day.

Downside to running at 11:30:

When running down the janky ass knox sidewalks sometimes your foot gets caught on them.

And then you go flying through the air.

And then you land like a sack of ****.

And then you start bleeding profusely and have a "feels like" broken big toe.

And then you hobble over a mile back to your apartment.

Quite the walk of shame.

Bout like me tripping on Woodland Street in Nashville. Except it was broad daylight. Made it back to the office with a blood-covered leg.

And then there's the other time when I tripped over a "construction ahead" sign...

I was running a roughly six and a half to seven minute mile pace while going downhill. It suffices to say that I flew through the air.

The Vols will have a fresh new legacy safety with the last name "Warrior". The white lettered name will glisten almost magically off the back of his orange jersey, and simultaneously he will be delivering "bone-crushing" hits behind the line of scrimmage to destroy opposing ball carriers.

What a time to be alive!

Just want to pat myself on the back for a minute and say I was officially the first person to say Byrd would be a good receiver... and that was before he even committed to us
