It's Jauan and then Byrd. Someone else could step up but those are the two that we saw last season that proved they can play.

I don't doubt he "can play". He's an athletic freak. More to being a "proven receiver" tho. He had more snaps than the other freshmen...extent of the science. Jennings made a huge jump from his freshman effort, but until he did he was a work in a progress...just like Byrd. Hardly the criteria for being locked in.

He proved himself in my eyes. Made big time plays against good competition (specifically against Florida and A&M). It would be dumb to move him when, at the moment, it looks like he is our second best receiver. Of course someone else could step up but based on what we have seen on Saturdays it's Jennings and then Byrd. Unless you think josh smith is better

Better receiver? Yeah. Better playmaker? Course not. If he is actually our BEST cornerback does the same sentiment hold true?

Maybe Byrd wanted the chance to play WR. We are not privy to what has passed between him and the coaches.

No...that's why I issued the caveat "hopefully mutual". If it's his fervent wish to play receiver, I hope that's the case...as opposed to taking one for the team.

Good point. I doubt his DB skills have not been vetted in house.

Spieth blew the tournament. Had a 3 shot lead until the back nine when he started spraying the ball and missed two 4 foot putts. Actually got lucky and made a putt for birdie that he thought he was going to miss that kept him in the tournament on 15 I think. Missed another birdie putt on 16 of less than 15 feet where he started walking almost before he hit the ball. You saw the best shot he had all day other than the first two holes that he birdied. Give him credit, though, he won ugly. Which is what our football team needs to do at times.

Callaway is a natural, better WR than Byrd IMO. Williams will probably be as well. BrB stated it perfectly - he could be our version of Adoree Jackson if the coaches would pull the trigger.

Not the best English, but I know what he's trying to say and I like it!
