Are people leaving Taggart off their list because he's in his first year at Oregon? Otherwise, he's a much better option than most of the names out there.

He'd be in my top tier but I'd put him with Petersen in the highly unlikely category

We re not firing a guy that has ever approached a NC so it's not altogether comparable.

You are the one who suggested the comparison. I don't see how the NC has anything to do with it. The point was about timing, and the AD isn't going to make that decision within 24 hours.

I don't know. If they're not alienated by what we're seeing now, I don't think not hiring Tee will have that bad of an affect.

I think they're a lot like us and just want to see the Vols win.

If no announcement was made, of course that would save him. He'd be 9-3.

Still, the truth is the SEC is junk this year except for Bama and maybe Georgia/Auburn.. I would guess he'd leave for a good paying safer job before he got fired next year.

Convoluted way of saying, I don't think he will be our coach next year.
