Sweet!! Yeah, I understand. I very seldom go away without my family (except being at a conference for CE in Denver right now). It’s always tough on me making decisions to do things like this, because my wife and daughter could care less about football, so they never go with me. It’s why I ended up not coming to Knoxville this season. Just wasn’t worth giving up a whole weekend away from them and the money, when we were struggling so bad. Once we got past Bama and started looking so much better, I didn’t have any free weekends to get away for a game. So, I said if they made a bowl, I wanted to go if at all possible.

When y’all get in on Thursday, you can text me and come over to the hotel, and we can all catch an Uber together, so it will be cheaper. Where are your seats at the game?

I don't know yet. My guy just said not to worry that he'd get me some of his group that he gets. Hope they're good.

that's a ga/fl thing. they have a zero tolerance on that day. I've been kicked out of ga vs FL for stepping in between a fight.

Not a drinker, except of that yummy beverage called coffee. Not sure yet. @InVOLuntary is staying just down the road from our hotel, so I think we might meet up at my hotel and all of us catch an Uber over to the stadium together.

We can still meet up with these yahoos at that fancy beer place. Might have some good pregame eats.

Anyone have experience with Airbnb in Jacksonville? What's the area like around the stadium? What are the sketch neighborhoods to steer clear of?

It looks like most of the rentals are downtown near the stadium, or they're located out near the beach.

Might be an important detail. As the signs on 95 (Interstate running down the backside of the dong), only 995 miles to Miami!

just booked at the Holiday Inn Express in Jacksonville on Brightmann Blvd.

Crossing fingers that @utvols88 doesnt swoop in and reply “oh no, not that one!”

That bar used to be solid before Beall built one on every street corner. Ruby's went through a massive remodel in 2000's, then tried a couple of off shoots...a pizza joint in Maryville & Asian place here in Tri. Then had to shut a bunch of Ruby's down. Sad really. Company was doing really well, until Sandy passed.
