I honestly don't see how they are getting this many top tier recruits with no resume. I mean, they are building one now no doubt, but coming off a 7-5 and a loss to Butch Jones they pull the top class? Now again? It's silly not to wonder if there's some sort of foulplay involved. They are actually believing they flip Wright out of pure leftover spare spots.

He’s good at recruiting but mediocre as a coach. What more do you want?

Location...Location...Location...You can build a National Championship team with nothing but players who live within 90 miles of Atlanta. They have such a decided advantage over almost everyone else. Add to that they are the only major program in a state that is top 4 in recruits every year. (Georgia Tech is an academic school)

No he isnt mediocre. He is a top tier coach. He isnt Saban by any means. But right now there arent many coaches that are on Smarts level. Recruiting is part of coaching. Yes he made a stupid call in the SECC, but those things happen.

UGA pulled the number 3 class coming off of 8-5 season. Then really struggled in recruiting the following year (were ranked like #27 until August) then beat Norte Dame and ms state and recruits realized that the vision Kirby was selling was real. Then a trip to the national title solidified that and UGA then signed the number 1 class..

He hasn’t proven he’s a top tier coach on the field. He is great at recruiting, he also has a gigantic advantage with the talent in Ga.
