Food City has the best meats. Publix has good produce and deli.
I dont go near walmart, scared I may catch something.
My experience with food schitty and their meats hasn't been good. Not impressed. I like Kroger meats better. Sam's ain't half bad either.

Those near Norris need to experience Archer's. The have one of them beer walls like @bignewt likes.

Interesting...do they stock stripers in South Holston, or maybe found its way in? What about Muskie, have they stocked them there? Seems like I remember something about those efforts in East Tennessee, but cannot recall the locations and has been years since I spoke with folks in that area. Regardless, always wonder about the one that gets away!
Musky need absolutely pristine water.

Nc has a stocking program as does VA.

The Nolichucky & French Broad have them. Ive seen Smallmouth numbers drop off the table since their reintroduction. It sucks.

Yeah, could not remember where they had been stocked.

State and federal agencies are always quick to "stock" species under the guise that they are augmenting, enhancing, restoring, etc. a species. Often times, this is done without thoroughly considering all of the issues that may (or may not) warrant such stocking efforts. All about public perception...and doing "good things". Unfortunately, natural resource and fisheries conservation tends to be more influenced by political science than biological science. Not saying that is the case here, but would not be surprised.

My apologies for the soap box moment, but just speaking from first hand experience in this profession.

I do like the meat department at Sam's. Usually very good buy on ribs, ribeyes and brisket.

We’re on a roll boys. How many threads can we derail tonight? If there is justice in the world all of this will go into the Hardy thread instead of the off topic thread.

Food City in SW Virginia is way better than the Kroger’s here especially in the meat departments.
