Atlanta admiring that UGA trophy case

View attachment 239478
Again, I'm fine with admitting UT used to be better than UGA. Who do you think is better now? Does UT have the ability to improve? Of course. College football is changing to CEO coaches that are elite recruiters and coordinators shaping the offense and defense. Pruitt is the same as Smart and Orgeron in that he's an elite recruiter that knows defense. As of now though, there's a sizable gap that Pruitt needs to close. If Mullen doesn't improve his recruiting by hiring a better DC, then UT will catch them sooner than later and if Smart doesn't hire a new OC that updates the offense then Pruitt could catch him as well unless he can once again convince 2 NFL talents at RB to return for their senior years.

Why are you back? We're finished here. Go talk to someone else

Technically you've been finished. You were never able to bring up any valid points at all. Just point to the past because you didn't have anything from the present. Like I said earlier, someone unable to listen to a counter point and throw a tantrum. Only one of us actually tried to have a conversation and it wasn't you.

Barely getting by Bo Nix and Auburn this weekend got you feeling pumped up I see.

You can use the report button if a thread gets of the rails, and the other mods might see it. I'm not always around. Usually, but not always. :)

I've personally banned quite a few trolls, actually. UGA ones especially. They seem to be obsessed with our program for whatever reason. Weird considering we haven't even been a bowl team in three years. On our current trajectory, I imagine their heads are going to explode in the next couple of years.

Yeah...they are particularly obnoxious. You guys are pretty tolerant till they get way out of line. The only other fansite I have ever been a member of was a Tampa Bay Buc site back in the Gruden days..the mods there would not even tolerate much criticism of the coaching staff at all...it was weird. I have no desire to go on other teams sites and talk trash..never have and never will.

UGA beat Auburn on the road by more than LSU at home. Despite that, all I asked was how UGA winning the east 3 years in row was a sign of a decline and got defensive posts about it.

Yeah, I don’t know how asking uga questions on a TENNESSEE BOARD would warrant defensive posts. For the life of me I can’t understand it

You really showed your stupidity or ignorance right there...Grantham is one of the best things Mehlan has going for him.

Grantham is awful. Third and Grantham was an issue at UGA, UL, MSU, and UF. He has an overly complicated scheme that doesn't work well against top competition. If UF had a better DC they would've beaten UGA this year. Coley and the receivers have struggled all year then broke out against UF. Maybe they were just due, but Grantham has always had issues with getting his defense off the field on third down.

I've had civil conversations with ppl here before. Some are more prickly than others, but the majority don't freak out when they hear something they don't like.
Your "civil conversation" ruse isn't fooling anybody, including yourself.

But, behold! There is the most civil-i-est of all possible conversations on dogfood.com or whatever the GA board is called. Go there and preach. We are not worthy.

You aren't attempting to have a civil discussion. Kirby Smart will be in the same position as Mark Richt was in that he will never really win anything while amazingly having the most talented team year in and year out. The only difference between Richt and Smart is that Richt hid behind Christianity while being an asshat and Kirby is pretty open about it. Richt also never lost to Butch Jones. In conclusion Scooter, this isnt the place to have a "civil discussion" about how great you think Georgia is. Perhaps you should look around at your surroundings and recognize that this might not be the place for that discussion. Maybe "around the NCAA" would be a better fit for my babbling.

Richt also never made it to a national championship. Its certainly a possibility that Smart turns out to be a minor upgrade over Richt, but currently the sample size is too small to know for sure. Richt wasn't fired for his first 3 years at UGA and likely would still be employed if he continued that level of success. And I am attempting to have a civil discussion. I asked a question that people didn't like I guess. I didn't claim UGA was the best ever or that they'd do anything. In fact I said they'd probably lose the SECC to LSU to the tune of 35-21.

Again...........around the NCAA...........create a thread about it, argue with yourself or others who give a **** about almost being good, yet always falling short.

@Atlanta917 Just so we can have a normal conversation. Georgia has a very good QB in Jake Fromm on top of that Georgia has a pretty solid offensive line and some good skill players at WR.

Tennessee is rebuilding and when Pruitt got there was coming off of an 0 - 8 run in the SEC. Pruitt was hired on during the change in recruiting period only allowing him a short amount of time to recruit players before the 2018 season. His first true recruiting class was the 2019 class. His second is the 2020 class. Tennessee has showed major improvement this year. We have one of the more solid defenses in the SEC right now. Hopefully, given the experience Tennessee has gained and will continue to gain for the remainder of this season and with a Serviceable QB next year, we can give teams like Georgia and Alabama a better fight (Although I’m pretty sure we scared the mess out of Alabama this year). Georgia will always be a tough team for us and anyone who says Smart isn’t a good coach is dumb because obviously he is.

I don’t know if Georgia is up or down but with the Talent Georgia has right now even if they aren’t playing to their potential they are going to win games. I think Tennessee has proven this year that they will be a much better team next year. We don’t really lose much on the defensive side of the ball and we lose a few wide receivers and a RB next year. But we should have a lot of young talent to step in.
