Size matters more in competition, not real life...when a certain target is hit...let’s say the collarbone...it takes around 3 lbs of pressure to break it

A 5’2” woman who has a little training...can kick a 6’2 man in the testes there by bending him down...then hammer fist to the collarbone breaking it

Size doesn’t really matter in the real world...as long as you hit the targets
Again, a more skilled small man can beat a bigger man. Nobody with a brain is denying that.

In the real world, size matters. There is a reason people train to get stronger.

If the same person, untrained weighed 200 lbs and trained weighs 225....the bigger man wins, all else being equal.

Its not even debatable. Its common sense amd common physics.

Anybody who believes size doesnt matter has clearly never done a whole lot of combat.

I can name dozens of fighters who move up in weight class, even 5 pounds, and get knocked out when they were world champs at lower classes.

Why do you think fighters go weeks cutting weight, even at the expense of dehydrating and losing strength, to fight in a lower weight class?

Size certainly matters with two trained professional fighters going at it. It's why weight classes are a thing, and you make a very valid point about guys moving up or down one weight class. Takes a special fighter to succeed at multiple weight classes. Funny enough though when the UFC was first formed there were no weight classes. Royce Gracie wanted to prove that Brazilian Jiu Jitsu would work against opponents of all sizes and fighting styles and he has some fights where he fought, and defeated, men much larger than him. If you can find them on YouTube it's fascinating to watch.

Ive seen it. It was remarkable.

They transformed combat.

Absolutely they did. Gracie family are fighting royalty. And I know Royce's fight vs Matt Hughes was brought up, which Royce lost, but he was pushing 40 and hadn't fought in a decent while had he? I may be wrong on that. Not saying that invalidates what Hughes did as he was a heck of a fighter but I think he got a much older Royce

Size is irrelevant in real fighting...Timing beats speed...Precision beats Power🦉
BS. I will guarantee you size matters in fighting. There would be no weight classes if it wasn’t a concern. Sure a fast kid that can fight will beat a fatass off the street but when you’re talking about skilled fighters size matters.

Take Andre Ward, former #1 pound for pound fighter in the world....undefeated.....gold medalist. One of the greatest light heavyweights of all time, amd maybe even the greatest.

He is ON RECORD saying that he wanted to go win a heavyweight titke, but he was waiting for the right matchup because all the jumbo heavyweights....Tyson Fury, Wilder, Anthony Joshua, etc.....are not a good matchup for him.

Clearly, Ward is the superior boxer to all of those men. He is smarter, faster, better ring I.Q....everything.....except he is far smaller.

Lee was at most 130 lbs soaking wet. He was awesome in the movies but it’s highly doubtful that he mops the floor with Norris who is at least 30 lbs heavier and has actually competed before.
He mopped the floor with Bolo Yeung on the set of Enter the Dragon.. It went to the ground and Lee ubmitted him. Lee was the real deal.

You should watch the very first UFC events, when there were NO weight classes. I think you would be surprised.

In theory only. Nothing can quantify that person A will keep coming until he can’t and person B may not have that same grit/heart/toughness as person A regardless of whose bigger and stronger

There is a scene in one of the movies can’t remember which movie. Where Bruce Lee gets cut with a broken bottle in the scene. Well, that guy actually did cut him in the scene and Bruce Lee was angry and kicked him so hard he broke the dude’s arm.

I stated at least 30 times that a smaller man who is better can beat a bigger man.

It doesnt make size irrelevant. Sheesh.

I dont need to theorize about it. ive spent my whole life doing it. Grew up around it. Lived it, breathed it. Fought across multiple disciplines, weight classes. You name it. Ive whipped hundreds of men. Also been whipped a few times.

Size is a critical, critical factor in combat.
