Lived in Charleston for a bit and now Greenville. I concur.

Charleston is over priced but a hell of a time. It’s also all by itself down there.

Greenville is beautiful. Close to mountains, 3 nice lakes within an hour, under 2 hrs to Charlotte, 2 hrs to ATL, under 3 hrs to Knox.
charleston is just one of my favorite cities period. and yeah, living there is expensive, have several friends that live down there on Mt. Pleasant, and it's just stupid how much they paid for hte places they live in compared to what we have in CLT for less....

but, location is what matters.

and yeah, greenville has come a looooong way...was there not all that long ago for a wedding, and spent a decent amount of time downtown and i can't remember the last time i was there, but it was night and day from it.....really liked it. very cool downtown area.....and the rest of the 'suburban' area is growing like crazy.....

The Hill isn't perfect, but a lot more objective than the major news networks. There's plenty of Trump haters and they'll admit as much, but they still base a lot of their news on facts and aren't afraid to call out the propaganda of the major networks.

We mostly choose the SC beaches for our vacations. I have no scientific proof, but we usually stop in Columbia to get gas and grab a bite for the rest of the trip, and it is the hottest place on earth.
I was getting ready to say this verbatim. We always stop at the mall there for a quick bite and my kids like to ride the carousel in the food court. Every time I get out of the car there the heat is insane.
well, when Lou Holtz took that job, he did an interview before his first season and when asked about Columbia, he said all the nice things you'd expect a coach to say, but he did say something to the affect of "i don't but Colubmbia, SC must be around the corner from Hell, cause this is the hottest place i've ever been", or something like that...i just remember the "round the corner from Hell" part...lol.

And you have a former Atlanta Brave relief picture that lives there that is a good friend of mine in Greenville. Lived there while he played for Atl.

There's a band that runs from Fayetteville, NC through Columbia, SC and into Augusta, Georgia that is always 10 degress hotter than the upstate (I live in Greenville, SC) or the Coast. So when its July and 86 in Greenvile its 96-97 in Colo and the humidity always seems higher.

i don't know if this is true or not, i never bothered to look it up, but i've been told that that part of SC/NC is actually in a gigantic prehistoric crater, so it all sits lower than the area around it....that's why it seems more humid/hot there than it does in Greenville or Charlotte.....? no idea of that's true. but i've just gone with it.....

Don't know about the prehistoric part but Columbia is in a topographic basin which is why it floods periodically. Practically all the water in the state runs down there.

I’m a downtown guy and if you thought Mt P was expensive then downtown Charleston will blow you away, it’s absurd. Love downtown Greenville. But downtown Charleston attracts a certain crowd that I wish frequented Greenville more often

It seems so simple, right? Yet, we get all of these specific question/numbers in this class/etc etc threads in this forum, that clutter it. I used to just ignore the thread, but can’t do that anymore. My OCD won’t let me not click on it, so that it shows as read.
Lol I have the same problem. I have started just clicking on the last post to survive!

Major news outlets have one job right now, make it seem as bad as possible so people will hang on their every word.
The "news" no longer presents the news. They sell sensationalism and a narrative they want you to believe. True journalism is presenting the facts, not telling you how you should interpret the facts or what you should believe. True journalists don't let their own biases shine through.

Welcome to the board, by the way. I see you just joined in April. You will love it here. A little advice...stay here in the recruiting forum. Never go to the football forum...they are crazy over there. You need to shower in bleach before returning to the normal part of this site. Also, don’t make a separate thread to ask a question. If it pertains to a recruit, ask it in the recruit thread. If not, ask in the football talk or off topic thread, unless something like this instance comes up. This is the best message board on the interwebs hands down. Enjoy! A lot of great people in here that would give you the shirt off of their back.
I have followed this board for many years but never signed up. I really have nothing to bring to the board other than my opinion. Even though I lived in PF home town for many years, I have no insider info. Thanks for the advice. I will now step back out enjoy the show but I did send you an IM of who I am.

The Hill lost me when they bowed to DNC demands to harass John Solomon while he was at The Hill, because Solomon was digging up stuff on Ukraine and the Russia Collusion hoax.
