NYC is the exception imo
There is literally 0 reason to be closed down anywhere. Everything should be back to normal today. The data does not support continued lockdowns. And yet baseball still isn’t being played and some states still are not open. What are we doing?

NC gov just kept the lockdown going for 5 more weeks. They are loving this newfound power. He also changed what "Phase 2" of the reopening meant at the last minute. Previously included bars and gyms. He removed those "privileges" today.

You’re correct about gyms and bars and the like but the rest of this is just untrue. Stay at home order is going to a “Safer at Home” recommendation.

A recommendation is not a lockdown. For instance, I recommend you study up on the difference between something mandatory and something recommended. Doesn’t mean you HAVE to tho, bc it’s just a recommendation 😉. You’re free to keep those imaginary bars on your house windows if you choose.

While most places (maybe all? Honestly I have no idea) are not back to normal, I thought all states were in the process of reopening?

It's all semantics. The state is still essentially locked down for 5 more weeks. Phase 2 is more like Phase 1.2. "Recommendation" sure, but that doesn't mean squat when so many businesses are still barred from reopening until late June at the earliest.

Y'all keep talking about the shutdown, but it seems like much of the area is open. I got a haircut the other day in the Tri Cities. I drove to Atlanta yesterday, had dinner at a restaurant last night, stayed at a hotel, had lunch at a different restaurant, drove to Knoxville today, had dinner at yet another restaurant, checked into The Tennessean where I'm having a drink with the missus in the lounge. It isn't perfect, but it seems a lot like regular life.

Starting to roll in Sevier County. The park opening up is drawing thousands of people. Dollywood should be open in a week or two, they are finalizing it for an announcement. Tanger, restaurants, etc - all open.

I know there is still a lot left to do, but there is some level of normalcy if you choose to engage it. Let's do it!

Me and my wife would’ve invited you to have dinner with us today if I’d known you were in Knoxville! We were in market square for a bit shopping and all that. Had to stock up on some Vols gear @ Tailgate & Nothing Too Fancy.

We were actually going to go to Market Square, but opted to stay at the hotel. So Tailgate is open? Good news.

Maybe that is where the most blue collar jobs are and those people didn't have the luxury of working from home.
yeah, i don't know that there's a direct link to political affiliation lol.

and if it were, wouldn't be real easy to link that to the Dems? would would republican states lay off republican workers? seems counter productive.

so, seems like the Dems are making their play....

:) don't be the one that takes that seriously, morans.

I appreciate any info brought to the board. I'm not on either side of this argument, but he's right.
So because he brings some info you're willing to ignore his trolling, and you think he's right about AV? Doesn't bother you that if he was right (definitely not AV defended himself well) the GA fan came on here to _______ on the one behind the scenes doing so much for our program (Tennessee that is) plus bringing us info? Wow

siap yesterday, i've never had an issue with Secking...

but there's no way you can look at what happened here yesterday, with the timing of the ratings drops and his appearance and all the back handed compliments blah, blah, blah..and not know dude is trolling hard....yesterday it was just obvious.....

as for insiders...lol...some of htem have had a rough go of it here....lol. sometimes it's warranted, sometimes it's not. in the case of AV, i think he's been right more than wrong, and when he's wrong, i've never gotten the impression it was because he was flat wrong as much as it was things changed.

have to go in to it taking it for what it is, when an insider posts something. it's a snap shot of what his known at that point. where some of them have gotten in trouble is making outright predictions, and being so dfinitive...that if somethign does change, they lose any/all credibility.
that, and when ish does go wrong, or not the way we thought...or were led to think it would...AV genearlly owns it. can't say that about every insider, or proclaimed insider that is, that's come here in the past.

tl/dr version...take it with the grade of slaw.....it's recruiting. ish happens.

Right? Due to the lack of education in those states there are more blue collar jobs. Less educated people are easier to manipulate as well. Could that be way the blue collar workers vote for tax cuts for the wealthy and against a higher minimum wage?
