Bloomberg? The anti gun, food control zealot? Oh dear lord.

I'd have to see what his platform would look like, but he's generally fiscally conservative, socially liberal. I'm not going to agree with everything he pushes, but does it outweigh a Clinton or Trump? Quite possibly.

I also like the idea of someone breaking up the two party stranglehold and self-financing. Lastly, he's worth $37 billion, Trump is worth 4. So, I trust his business acumen a little more lol.

I don't think it will be enough... Which is exactly why a lot or some matters. That will decide the election.

Check out the swing state head to heads. National polls mean nothing. I don't think he can win the general election. It's a completely different animal from the Republican primaries.

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - Virginia: Trump vs. Clinton

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - New Hampshire: Trump vs. Clinton

RealClearPolitics - Election 2016 - Iowa: Trump vs. Clinton

Agree to disagree. You need more current data on your swing states since the national is essentially a dead heat per the realclear poll out through 2/15. The mo has shifted IMO and the Hillary email controversy is having a major effect. I thing those that actually vote as compared to answering polls will be more likely to stay home on the Dem/Dem leaning independents side than the GOP side. But there is nothing certain in politics. lol.

I want Cruz. I want there to be "real clear" choice.

We'll see. I'm interested in polling in general, so it'll definitely be something to watch. I will say the polls have been pretty darn accurate the past couple general election cycles. Be careful not to get swept up in perceived momentum that isn't reflected in the state polls. A lot of people said that with Romney in 2012 before he was handed a decisive defeat in terms of electoral votes won on election night.

Oh, I get your points. 100% have to play the electoral college. I just think Trump is playing by his own rules and trying to reset paradigms. He is going as far as he can go with his personality disrupting the norm until it is time to shift into a more Presidential mode when the primaries are wrapped up. To get there he is going after the crossover vote in the open primary states.

Romney lost because he had no charisma and force of personality. He had Obama on the ropes early and just sat on it. There was very little desire to get out the vote, which proved up at election time. Who got inspired that Mr Establishment Mitt Romney might become President? In general, much of the public is pretty shallow about voting.

A major, wealthy, long term GOP backer once told me 20 years ago, that there are elections you do not want to win at times. So they trot out Bob Dole against Clinton when the economy is rolling. They trot out McCain and Romney against Obama when everything is going in the tank for a decade. All with baggage and zero charisma. If they would have won, great. But with each loss the baggage went to the guy in office. Just like the Dems used against Bush (WMD's) for Obama. With Bill Clinton it was his personal crap and the occasional international incident non-response. With Obama it has been illegal immigration, Obamacare, terrible military management, and the slow economic rebound/high deficit. To get the nomination Hillary leaned hard toward Obama supporting his policies, which falls right into the populists' issues against Obama. The polls then started reflecting it even more.

Will see. There is plenty of time for this mess to turn upside down at least a couple more times. Could Biden step into the fray as an example? :)

It's amazing how clear it is! When it's really sunny, you can see so far down. My anchor line is only a 100', so it's useless in most of the lake, but there are parts that are 50-60' deep that you can almost see my entire line.
We take our campers down too, it's so much fun!
We actual were gonna go to Lake Norris this year and et a house, but decided to go back to Summersville.

alright tech friends. I'm looking for a new phone.

debating between

HTC Desire Eye and the BLU Life One X

I feel like I'm leaning toward the Eye

Completely random...

This may make me seem like I have been living under a rock. But I have kinda just discovered the band The Black Keys. And I am loving the music.

Ok, carry on.

The Pope stepped on his funky smock with his no walls comments today. The Vatican's walls are actually a good model for the one we need to build. What a hypocrite.

They're good, their old stuff was more bluesy, now it's more alternative rock

I'm clearly not a Trump fan, but what the Pope said is kind of un-pope like. I don't think I've ever heard a pope flat out question a person's faith in public like that. It's bizarre. This pope is a little sketchy. He's no JPII.

This Pope cozied up to Hamas and Mashaal. His Vatican rep called Mashaal a "Good Shepherd". He condemned Israel for defending themselves by firing missiles into Hamas' training facilities. He is a leftist progressive politician playing the game.

FWIW Mashaal and sons are thought to have made off with hundreds of millions, maybe over a billion dollars from their people's treasury. They are evil.

Do any of you Knoxville residents know of the praise band United Pursuit?

They meet Tuesdays over on 5th Avenue for worship music I think. Been listening lately online. They are great, very blessed group.

Check out Thickfreakness if you haven't already. It's their second album and very very good.

If you haven't already give the Alabama Shakes a listen. They're very good and retro blusey. One of my favorite bands. Another you ought to check out is Gary Clark Jr.

Good call. Thickfreakness is my favorite of their albums.
