To your point - two of the three best players Ky signed were from Nashville. We could have certainly used those guys - I feel like D1 probably does have some influence - certainly not to the degree that he implies.

We need to try to win D1 over because I honestly think it is in Nashville kids' best interest to go to Tenn vs. say Kentucky or Indiana. If you play at UT, in this state you are building a recognizable brand that could pay off after you graduate. It really is a win -win.

We don't need influence peddlers or agents selling or pushing athletes to the highest bidder. I do think he may be trying to help and guide kids - At least hopefully that is the case.

people like them will probably be out of jobs soon. now that everything can be done in the light of day without bags of cash, the white collar crowd (lawyers and accountants) is taking over.

The same crap DE spews on here is the same crap he spews to recruits, their families and opposing ataffs. The attitude is too anti-UT. What NPA player has been even remotely positive about us? They'll send them a 1,000 miles away, but not to campus. When was the last time NPA brought kids to campus? Asking for a friend.

To be honest I didn’t actually know. I don’t visit this forum that frequently. Clearly some kind of org involved w high school football players. NPA was somehow tied into Pruitt staff. It has been implied that they were giving NIL money before it was legal. Once Pruitt left, I would guess that we tried to separate ourselves from anything shady and somehow pissed them off. The NIL somehow makes their business now legit. Some of these type businesses really help the kids train, get noticed and then into a great school. I would assume their business model is to convince/control as many kids as they can and then promote them to colleges for a fee percentage of what they can get for the kid. I do not believe they are licences agents and there are no real contracts. I would think that most coaches would be happy to not have to deal with them. Problem is that if they can tieup/ control a number of kids, they can control the market. If you piss them off, they can direct kids away from your team.

It’s a legit business and dang good at what they do. Not doing anything nobody else don’t do just frustrating they are helping a competitor that negative recruits us like crazy more than anything. I don’t even care about TCU. It’s the KY feeding that is ridiculous

The Wade twins and the wr from Pearl Cohn. Supercuts brings most of the animosity on himself with his posts that run down the coaches, admin, and all things vol football related. Never seen a post that commends the Vols on a win (such as beating Kentucky which he said was a better program) or getting a recruit. He says he is a fan but actions speak much louder than his words. He is an attention seeking troll.

Whoever Buck is hopefully he understands things cut both ways and he might be painting himself into a corner, so he’ll eventually reap what he sows! If he keeps up the nonsense there are probably a few hundred VFL’s that would like to correct bad behavior. If buck doesn’t like it, then he’s free to move to another state! All of this! It’s way too easy to connect the dots. It astounds me that Buck is the head of this, being a former Vol, and astounds me even more as to why in the world you would push kids to Kentucky and TCU! All the schools out there that would make sense, and you are pushing kids to UK and TCU. Maybe those are the only schools willing to play ball the way they want to do it.

People do a lot for money. You say you wouldn’t do it to your Vols. But if it started putting say a half million plus a year in your personal budget, I bet you would unless you’re already pulling that level.

Nobody is under any obligation to push kids to UT. Some of y'all are full of delusion. The world doesn't work that way. You help the kid with what seems to be healthy for the kid. Buck loves UT but he ain't UT's middle man.

Back to this recruit, I'm not sure how this thread got turned into a crap on Buck thread but we can use this player. Are we slow rolling him or is he still evaluating his options?

Yes they hooked TCU up with Evans, McAlister and the OT from Memphis. Barion Brown final 3 were Bama, KY, TCU before picking KY the other school deepthroating them. Look at who all Callahan listed as players TN had trouble getting on campus from 2022 class. all NPA kids…maybe things are smoothing out over course of the year once they saw this staff can coach and out kids in position to succeed but they were being gatekeepers early on when it really mattered with this class. He will say it’s nonsense because they have sent players here in past but you can’t hide actions and the multiple dots out there easily connected.

What is NPA? I see several mentioning this.
