According to Al Gore we should all be dead right now because of climate change. Now, I believe in taking care of our planet and being good stewards of our natural resources but Al Gore is a straight nut job.

Except most developed countries did, in fact, change direction since then. Warnings have always been based on "if we do nothing". We have done tons just to get to this point and things are still going downhill. And that is with very imperfect predictions, but the general notion is clearly, painfully correct.

Not disputing he's lost a few marbles. He always seemed a bit off to me fwiw. I cringed every time I crossed the border and saw "home of Al Gore" 😒 smh. Until a politician solves something truly special, don't see why the pride or praise. Politicians are the last folks anyone needs to Stan for.

Human beings absolutely have an impact and can cause harm to the planet. However, if a climate disaster occurs and humanity is wiped out the earth would adjust and heal in a matter of years. It was designed to warm and cool as the gases in the atmosphere change and fluctuate. There is money to be made though and people will use fear to drive behaviors so that they can make a profit.

Again, nothing wrong with solar panels or wind power production. I just don't think I should have to keep my house at 85 in the summer and 65 in the winter because we don't have enough electricity while the Al Gore's of the world fly around in fuel guzzling private jets and live in gigantic mansions that they keep at whatever temperature they want even though they are hardly ever there while they tell folks like me to cut back on my energy consumption.

Ok. I have no opinion on DT Jr. I really don't know much about him.

Maybe nut job isn't the right word for Al Gore, but hypocrite definitely applies.

What gets me is Joe wants to make the military vehicle fleet all EV.
What is the availability and power plant infrastructure to support the rapid artificial move to EV's?
Will people in public housing and multi residential units need to unplug their 230/1/60 dryer to run an extension cord out to their EV?
How do we dispose of all those toxic waste?
Will we be reliant on enemies to obtain our REM?
I thought mineral mining was very damaging to the environment.


There is no plan. Just a rush to "control" the energy sector just like HC and everything else. Nothing like seeing 400 jets parked at Davos airport for a meeting on CC.

And BTW, I did my internship as a PS major for Senator Al Gore. He is a fake POS.

This is it. Most of the big names that push CC don't give two squats about the actual environment. It is a form of control and a way to funnel money to people that didn't do anything to really earn it. Power/Control/Money.
