I think Tennessee basketball job will be pretty coveted whenever it eventually opens. Great Financial support, beautiful arena, good recruiting base being near DC, pays the basketball coach well etc. IMO we’ll be able to lure a really good candidate. But in the meantime we have Rick and he’s better than most so I appreciate that. Sure it’ll get aggravating come march but again at least we’re having a pretty good deal of success otherwise. Represents UT in a respectable manner as well

Rick Barnes was exactly what we needed when he came here. I will always appreciate what he has done for Tennessee.

You remember when Kiffin left? The AA did a little digging and we were put on probation. If the admin fought the AA they wouldve dug into everything, but they threw basketball under the bus to keep football clean.

The AA only really had power if you let them. So many schools told the AA to screw off or drug their feet on investigations to where they didnt matter.
