‘23 Recruiting Forum: Official Austin Peay Pregame/Game Thread

Hopefully they let Joe throw down the field again in the second half. That first half may benefit Joe and the team more than an easy quick blowout followed by resting the entire second half. It's clear that Joe and the entire offense need more work to get in sync. Would rather them struggle a little against AP than have these kinds of miscues next week...of course, that's if they put it all together in the second half and blow out AP. Hopefully it's not indicative of what's to come next week and beyond.

Key stat here… 8/26 on 3rd down Vs Clemson and Virginia. 1/7 today so far. 9/33 good for 27.2% conversion rate.
If folks were expecting the efficiency and consistency of HH, the best UT qb of all-time, they were fooling themselves.

Still think Joe improves this year. But it'll take time and I'm not sure how high his ceiling ultimately is. But high enough for us to reach our expectation of ~9 wins imo.

I hope we look a lot better in the second half, or we need to take off the welding gloves and I love him, but burn the Condredge Shirts.

This is embarrassing… gotta change up the play calling short stuff a bomb a couple times and let’s have the carries get up to 70%… get Joe involved in the run game.

Gotta start him out different next game… QB power or some short out… or QB read… get him hit so he can calm down and just play.

I was just hoping for something around Dobbs throwing.

Sacrilege… shirts isn’t the problem… wish we would of done this when Hendon was here last year.

Joe has missed some throws, but our receivers are not helping him. There have been some drops and the holds are getting old.

He’s gonna have to let him sling it all second half to get it down. Our WRs are getting wide open, he needs to hit them
I'm sorry. Milton was off, and there were several times he didnt run. Why be doesnt is insufferable. But those were not Milton issues. The WR's played like ****. Maybe the worst WR ive ever seen for a TN team.
