Recruiting Forum: Official Bowling Green Pre-Game/Game Thread

We are trying to hide our cards and this is really hurting us in this game. I understand trying to hide all your wrinkles until next week's game, but we have to do better. I also think that not having Martinez on the sideline is really hurting anyone not named Cam Sutton.

I'm not ready to say we were vastly overrated yet, but this team clearly needed a wake up game.

I'm hoping today's defensive woes are mostly due to us overlooking BGSU.

Hoping.

We'll be ok. Let's get past today and let the coaches - including Martinez - do some work next week and we'll be fine against OK.

A little less confident about it than I was before this game. But I'm not writing us off yet.

I suppose I'd rather them have problems today instead of next week.

Is this the best QB we see all year?

I think it's a good possibility, he's out there dropping dimes

I would say it's like 65% / 45% split on it. The majority of it is due to us completely overlooking BGSU, but their QB throws a beautiful ball and those WRs are getting away with a lot of push offs.

Everyone calm the f down. Oline looks good and we are intentionally not showing all of our cards because of next week, when we WILL beat OU by 10. Chill

I find it funny that I think we would be beating a lot of power-5 opponents much worse then we are BGSU tonight.

Yeah this is a rough game. Our DB's are getting burned, but dang. BG is so aggressive. It's clearly caught our defense off guard. This break should help. The expectation for the rest of this game is set. They have identified some weaknesses in our secondary and are attacking it relentlessly. I honestly don't know what the answer is. I'm not sure how we stop them. Wish Justin Martin was ready. Maybe throwing TK back in there will provide us with a spark. We could use a turnover.

Offense is doing well, but BG isn't going to allow us to run the ball predictably and run tons of clock. They are daring us to attack downfield and it's there whenever we want it. I get the feeling DeBord wants to play keep away and wear them down with Hurd (which makes sense, seeing as we
Can't get stops), but they are stacking up against it and have been rewarded with some quick 3 and outs. So costly in a game like this.

We've got to come out and get a stop right here. Let's go. Screw the lightening. Screw Bowling Green. Wake up.

I would LOVE to have this guy as a OC. Probably one of the most exciting play callers and chaos creators I've ever seen. And then on defense, give me Muschamp. That'd be awesome.

I hope Butch (or Martinez) is using this delay to call M Osborne and make sure he sees the opportunity they have next year.

Also I hope cam comes back next year. But I won't blame him one bit for leaving and I expect him to
