Recruiting Forum: Official Bowling Green Pre-Game/Game Thread

We give up 27 offensive points in an opener to BG and I will have to drop my pre-reason prediction by one game. Unacceptable.

66-10

Last year Wiscy put up 68, Western Kentucky put up 59, and Northern Illinois put up 51. 66 isn't a stretch.

The 10 I think we get burned once or twice in coverage from our nickel guy for 20+ yards. They will be held to little to nothing on the ground and should get sacked a good bit when they drop back to throw.

You have to consider the fact that we will be scoring often because of how bad their defense is. Therefore, they will have a lot of possessions and run a lot of plays. If so, they will score by sheer number of attempts.

Why is there a Bowling Green thread on this board?

You should try sticking to this thread instead of a FF one. Especially on gameday.

Although some here in the RF move closer to the FF side of a mental breakdown on gameday, Our starting point is much closer to sanity and rationality. So the in-game slip to craziness isn't as bad and ridiculous as in the FF.

Very good description.

In all fairness Utah State made positive yardage on a play. It was clear that the entire coaching staff needed to be fahrd and the season was over.

Why is there a Bowling Green thread on this board?

I'll give the answer.

In ancient times (several seasons ago), I grew weary of our sacred "Recruiting Forum Football Talk" threads getting filled up with 400 pages of the standard in game posts. "crap" "YES" "Dangit Dooley!" and the like. Hundreds of thousands of pages to weed through and you have no idea where any relevant information might be.

So I, Nick of Thailand, mounted upon my steed of justice... yeah, justice, and sought to restore order to the thread. Yea, though they were dark times, I sought to create a new thread... a bold new thread, in the same forum. At first, I was cautious... "Un-Official Pre-game thread" I called them. Would the mods smite me with indignant rage if I dared to create an official thread on the gall of my own presumption??? I dared not try, so it was unofficial, and it was released the week before the game, with a simple write up detailing the match-up and my predictions.

I shant lie... t'was hard times... year after year, posters would post in defiance in the Football Talk thread. We would beckon them, "Hark, hark, come into the pre-game thread." Some came. Some searched for dams, and none were found which could be given.

Last season, all but a few found this merry thread, and have used it to post in during the game. We are a few, jolly bunch, but by Todd... we... well, whatever.

So this season, I tested the strength of my testes, and found them to be cast iron. Oh yes, I took it upon myself to name this "Official". Not one jimmy has been rustled, and reportedly in Russia (this is unconfirmed) I have heard jimmies have actually become unrustled. If your jimmies are rustled, or have a tendency to be rustled, then perhaps this thread will be of service.

So... yeah, that's why this thread is here. I like to think of it as a service to mankind at large.

Ordinarily I don't like long winded posts, especially when written in old English, but this one was very well done.
