Recruiting Forum: Official Florida Pre-Game/Game Thread

I think this is the best game thread ever. I will admit that I lost faith. I did not post here, but I think I turned the game off at least 30 times. I even left my phone in another room to charge. I was planning to listen to Audible the rest of the weekend and not even turn on football or the computer. But, I just could not stay away. Of course, when the MO started changing, I still kept changing the channel some because I was too nervous. I was walking outside, following on Yahoo, for Florida's last drive. I did not DVR the game because we seem to play better when I don't. I will enjoy watching it when it is on next and listening to Verne and Gary in the first half. This is one of the greatest wins of all time. I love you guys!! GBMFO!!

We made them quit. Quit.

They talked the talk and when it came time to walk they walk, they tapped out.

Great win for the program. Take care of business next week in Athens, and we're looking great.

They were flaccid in the fourth quarter. Our boys said they could see their body language in the post game. Said they were gassed.

I could see it, too. That's why I wasn't as worried as I normally would have been after Florida scored in the fourth. Their tank was dry.

It was loud. Not sure it was 98 Arkansas loud, but it was up there.

My voice is fading. I'll be voiceless tomorrow selling cub scout popcorn with my son.

I was at the 98 Arkansas game along with Georgia in 2013. Must have been fun in the 4th quarter.

GTFOH bashing another man's level Christianity as if that's very Christ-like.

Back to football

Maybe the offensive staff will start loosening up at say opening kick off?

Got to get cbs and safety's to respect the deep shot.

I wanted Jay Hurd to get his Hundo and a TD so bad
He does so much dirty work. His blitz pick ups are sensational and he can be a weapon in the pass game too

Hurd nearly put a Gator in a coma on a blitz pickup. I don't remember exactly when it was.

LOL, I said I was amazed/disappointed at how people posted/felt in the first half. It's a 4 quarter game. We should all chill until the clock hits zero. Anything prior to that is premature. I was frustrated, but wanted to wait before losing all faith.

As for calling out UEM, I stand by it. He came at me (with a false accusation I might add), I came back.

At the end of the day it's a game. Today was a wonderful day. I'm enjoying this victory tremendously. It has been an amazing day. On to the next game on the schedule.

GBO

A rockin checkered Neyland was pretty awesome to experience.

Smoky grays, streak, and checkered. Any curses that were there have been exorcised.

I have been lurking since Hurd committed. This is my 1st post. Thank you Vols for making this year better. Keep the faith. We will be cheering from section 410 in Kyle field. GBO!

I turned the game off at 21-0 and started following it via beat writers on Twitter until it was 24-21. Was scared to death to start watching it again, but luckily I didn't jinx us.

One of my kids former teachers sent us a napkin with a note say to use it to dry our tears last year. We are sending an orange and white funeral arrangement Monday to his class with a note expressing condolences for us killing his team.
Awesome!! Hahahaha

mid-4th quarter, casual football fans watching the game be like

I never called anyone any names. But since you rang, you are the worst kind of proclaimed Christian. You claim your faith but contradict your words with all your actions/emotional posting. You are a hypocrite and an extremely poor representative of the Church. I hope and pray that you change.

Come on with this crap. Your judgmental attitude says a whole more about you. At least he is real about how he feels and after what this program has gone through the last several years your not being honest if you didn't get frustrated with the first half of the game. Being a minister and talking about football, two different animals.

Just skimmed through a few pages, wow. It is a 4 quarter game and so many of you seem to forget that. I was beyond frustrated in the 1st half. Was I pissed off/neverous? Of course. But wow @ some of the drivel some of you guys posted. It's ridiculous, honestly. Have some damn composure and maturity.

I guess I mistook this as you calling people immature. But you may be right about it. I sure never claim to be perfect.

noone has to explain or apologize. their performance was bad, our reaction was bad. but i for one stayed right there the whole time and honestly the fact that they were so sure they'd won by half makes jerking the rug and beating their gator asses that much sweeter. 38 straight points on the pundit proclaimed best defense in the country, ass whoopin. that has to hurt their pride knowing they could not stop us, it was domination.

Yes I'm judgemental towards someone who shares my faith and represents Christ in the capacity that he claims to. Nick is an example of what a minister should be like. Is anyone perfect? Nope. Did I say anyone should be perfect? Nope. Did I say I was pissed in the first half? Sure did.

At the end of the day we're all in the same boat. First half was awful, but we came back and won. It's been a great day.
