‘23 Recruiting Forum: Official Florida Pregame/Game Thread

This is the hallmark of Heupel’s teams. There are no consequences for them. Was just like this at UCF and that was my main concern when he arrived
Agreed. I said it first game against UVA that we were lucky we didn’t get a bunch of calls and their attitude was huge. He doesn’t get on them ever

I’m not talking about the play calling, I’m talking about why it is the way it is. They don’t trust Milton. It’s as simple as that and it affects the playcalling.
They do trust him. He’s thrown deep balls since the beginning. Teams are playing two high safeties. Guess when UF played 1 high safety? First possession. Joe is simply doing what he’s taught to do.

Do we even have a chance for three possessions at this point with the new clock rules, and our idiotic burning of two TO's?

He's 1-2 btw
Bc that has anything to do with him being our OC? He also took Alabama to the wire today. But again, I’m only talking about him as our OC. What a ridiculous comment by you by the way. Maybe take second and think before typing next time.

I wouldn't put in Nico in this game....this is Milton's game....I would start Nico against UTSA next weekend and let him play the whole game

I get that line of thinking. I also don’t think I’d let his first start come after not having played since week one against UVA where he only threw 3 passes. Nico gets the rest of the game for me for what little that’s worth.

We have actually outplayed Florida by quite a bit this second half. The refs essentially deducted points from us. We had two drives that likely would have put us to within a touchdown at least.

That third quarter officiating was atrocious.

3rd year and getting spanked by a not-good Florida team?
the issue i see is that we had an opportunity to capitalize on a banner year, the excitement was high... and our offensive line is a massive liability. that inability to land top flight blue chip o linemen has hurt us. and that's the difference. sand for d line. i mean we may go another cycle without any top flight d lineman. that is a huge red flag.

This is ridiculous all around, refs included. But staff deserves all the criticism in the world for this **** show of a performance

Yep, no excuse for this kind of game in year 3. Playing bums at offensive line and qb at this point is an indictment on the coaches ability to recruit.

That's like saying us losing this game doesn't matter. Of course it matters.
Us losing to an inferior team and underperforming is so much different from CU way outperforming expectations and losing to a superior team. Some of the sh*t I’ve said tonight has absolutely been reactionary but the CU stuff is certainly not.
