Recruiting Forum: Official Indiana State Pre-Game/Game Thread

Oh look, Jumper beat to the edge again.

I wonder if we have a FR LB who could run with him. Guess we'll never find out.

It's infuriating to hear about how impressive a guy is in camp and against the Sycamores of Indiana State his rear end is sewed to the bench.

Well I guess in those press conferences this week Shoop was taking blame for not subbing guys in and out more just for the hell of it.

Do you really think Shoop wants them in and Butch is saying no?

I think that's more realistic.

Starters coming out in a blowout so depth can get experience is very different than substitutions in a close game we are losing to a P5 team.

Our LBs aren't good. Is this a surprise to anyone? Serious question.

Bituli is the only one the group that has shown potential, but he's still very young and inexperienced.

If this is another Dormady series im gonna... im gonna... i'll probably watch it still but i will be pretty bummed

Over under on number of times they let JG pass to close things out? I say maybe 5-6 times tops. All short stuff.

Supposedly Ignont has been very good but we wouldn't know when he's on the bench

Lots of handoffs if the play calling goes like it has in prior warm up games. They never let the depth run the actual offense.

Jumper is ok.......I said ok. Kongbo on the other hand. I tried really hard to think people were badmouthing him unecesarily (I'm drunk, **ck you), but nope......he is definitely NOT DB. anything outside......you have to hope there is a LB or CB out there to pick it up.

Phillips and Taylor on the edges. Kongbo needs to be a backup. Osborne looks much better than Martin.

This staff and the seniority complex needs to stop. A player has to be leaps and bounds better just to pass up a veteran. That's garbage in itself. Practice warriors shouldn't be rewarded with PT if they muck it up in the game.

Would like to see Smith play at some point. When will he be healthy?

I like dline that has Taylor and Phillips on each end. I've seen enough of Kongo being slow. Let him hang those cleats back up if he wants.

It's going to get their rear end beat by a team like Vanderbilt or USCe.

Disagree. I think it's more realistic that Butch is being hands off with his million dollar DC.
