Recruiting Forum: Official Indiana State Pre-Game/Game Thread

Coaches gonna drive me crazy this year. We weren't losing this game, NO reason not to have Ignont and ALL the backups in early and often.

We were so quick to play several of the running backs, can't explain the Ignont situation. Seems like more backup reps would have been a good thing regardless of who you plan on starting.

My guess is Dormady starts, throws a couple crucial interceptions and we lose the game because Jones is too scared to put JG in due to the possibility of him making a mistake even though Dormady looks like doo doo.

Does he know where to be on every formation on every down and distance?

I'm willing to throw money he can't and that's why he's not playing more.

Something tells me Indiana State wasn't going to come back and win from 3rd quarter on no matter how misaligned he was.

Because JG looked so great today that he'd obviously be better? I'll admit that I thought Jarret was the better player going into this spring but what exactly did you see today that makes you think Dormady shouldn't start?

I agree he should have been in there mid 3rd and on, but to say he should be starting is assinine.

Edit: I should say starting right now.

They should be preparing him to start. Playing Ignont today helps him and Jumper bc Jumper needed the rest.

I think our defense will look better next week because we'll be blitzing and other things. But our corners are concerning. Can't believe they won't put Wiggins in there

We have the players to boatrace them, but our coaches hold them back.

We can knock Butch for a lot of things, but he definitely takes risks and mixes things up in the bigger games (with the Bama games as the exceptions). Our last 2 games against both UGA and UF have been pretty well-called outside of the infamous 4th and 14.

I'm not even talking about play calling, even tho I don't like our defensive scheme right now. I'm talking about personnel decisions, lack of getting young, talented players ready, poor substitutions, not feeding your playmakers on O, not adjusting on D when something is obviously not working.....

More minutes. More plays. More tackles. Longer in the system. Knows system better. Etc. Etc. Ect

So by that logic Any older player who has played more is definitely better than any young guy, got it. All that's required to be a great player in Rishworld is more playing time.

From Jashon's locker room interview, I would say he is a QD fan or too smart to say anything dumb.
