Got in bad habit of posting flippant 'Vols by Fiddy' poems in threads. Going to be more mature here.

Realistically, I see us looking past this team. Team will struggle to be consistent, with execution on both sides of the ball. WR's still not taking steps forward will drop several catchable balls.

this one will be much closer than many think in relatively low scoring SEC matchip.

Gilbert makes two FG's and we get one D-Samp TD to be up 13-3 at the half

Then we magically score 4 touchdowns because we notice that we are playing in the second half of a football game and they score 0.

Our Vols come off of another gritty, closer than expected win against a much more inferior opponent in Kentucky. We all hoped that would be a get right game for our offense, but it continued to be more frustrations and almosts. Add to that, our FG kicker struggled, and by all accounts we left 20-23 points at least on the field. Fast forward to Mississippi State this week. This is our last chance to get the offense clicking before going to Athens. This game will be all about us and executing. We are far superior in all facets of the game. Here is the keys to winning big.

1. Defense keep doing what you are doing. Hold Mississippi State to less than 19 points and we should win this game easily. Stay healthy, and let’s go to Athens and show everyone just how good we are.

2. WRs CATCH THE BALL!! Nico is playing very well, the OL is healthy and playing much better, and Dylan and the crew keep doing what they do best. The WR group is who is holding the offense back. The plays are there, we just need that group to execute. This is the game that we finally get it clicking on all cylinders, just in time to go to Athens.

3. Gilbert, get your head right game. We are going to need our FG kicker down the road. I would love to score all touchdowns from here out, but he’s going to have to make some field goals under pressure. Need to snap and clear last Saturday.

4. I didn’t spend a lot of time on Mississippi State, because I just think we are superior. The freshman quarterback does have potential, but I think the environment will be too much for him. They have a wide receiver with almost 700 yards receiving. Shut him down, stop the run, and win big.

Prediction: we finally click on all cylinders, and this game is wrapped up much early than last week.

Peyton goes out during pregame grabs the mic from Wentzel and sings the National Anthem. The flyover (at night) is Air Force Trump 1 and Al Wilson parachutes out onto the field with the gameball. Honorary captain Eric Berry calls tails on the coin toss and it comes up heads. The white hat starts to ask Miss St. what they want to do and Leonard Little drills the white hat, knocks him unconscious, stands over him and announces that Miss St. will defer for the first and second half. Heup decides to rest all the players and the POTSL Alumni Band plays the game.

Last I checked the weather it may not be ideal.. Some rain perhaps? I think we are able to run and run and run... Defense has little problems and we roll to lie a 31-10 type game.

Biggest thing I want to see... Play clean and see if we can hit more than we miss on the down field pissing game. We dinner have to light it up... But I'd like to see us get few shots to go thru the net, so to speak.

I'll be there with my family, and my brother and his family, MSU alumni , so don't let me down. GBO🍊

I just saw this. Thank you @OGbabyaviVol. You’ve done well so far, I love nail biters 😒. @nicksjuzunk, has and does a fantastic job to post our game thread and really has alot on his plate, take care of your family (first) young man, we’ve got your back.

I’ve given the thread enough days to percolate, so time for a prediction.

There are still some hiccups on offense (Particularly with the rain), but like last week we keep seeing an upward trajectory. People will be upset over another iffy first quarter, but we pull away from there.

Tennessee: 38
Miss State: 10
