I will say that I agree that winning teams know how to run the football with a lead. Is this most effective out of shotgun? I feel like an i formation set as many have mentioned is needed. Mix I with shotgun especially on 3rd and short with a large back

Just win!! That's what we are doing. Need one more to get to 8-4, and most likely go to a very nice bowl in Florida around New Year's. Let's get this next week.

OAN: does anyone think we aren't passing it unless we just have to, in order to try to prevent anymore injuries to our very thin WR core?

This - 1000 times over. They use the same patterns and the other teams know it. For some reason they refuse to use the middle of the field with the TE, slot and even WR dig patterns consistently despite defenses that are wide open to them.. They throw next to no deep posts and very few deep sideline patterns in an entire season and the opponents all know they won't, so they set up shop close to the LOS and wide.

Awesome win. Very happy.
Hurd is a beast. The defense is good now, gona be great next year and beyond.

Hate the offensive system. Hate the play calling and conservative nature with all these weapons. Hope Debord goes out with Dobbs and Hurd after next year and Butch brings in a new guy with the player turnover. Butch needs to do the wonderful job as CEO and special teams that he's good at and turn the O over someone else.

Robertson, Jones and Hall will make our running game much better next year. Hurd was very appreciative of Jashon on that last long run he had.

Honestly I don't think it makes a difference. Have you seen us run from under center? It's ugly.

I am not jumping to any conclusions about the offense I remember the 4 play touchdown drive late in the 4th quarter against Bama. The team will have learned a lot this year.

There is a reason why they don't throw deep sideline patterns. I do think Dobbs throws a nice ball down the middle but missed one tonight. I agree that it's a bit puzzling, but I just hope that they tweak some things in the offseason. I will say that we could still be 9-2 with what already have.

Could be but not. We could have lost to UGA too. Pulled it out. There is a reason for the not.

Just saying that the defense only needed to stop one 4th down out of 5 chances against UF and make a stop against OU. We could be sitting at 9-2 with no changes even with the gnashing of teeth over the offense and its predictability. We scored 27 against UF, and that would have been enough in most of their games.
