Does it really matter ??? When you beat teams by 4 tds every other week, lol. We need a few talent upgrades in the back end. Those kids play hard though and they are a TEAM. Win or lose. Remember that and we are looking at a Playoff Birth

No of course not . I am really trying to be patient because I know we don't have the players right now but man sometimes it just gets to me and yesterday on that one play with Flowers and I forget who the other DB was let that WR not only catch the ball but totally missed the tackle. Everyone is different watching a game. I really try to stay positive but I will admit they got to me yesterday. LOL

Nah just poking a little fun at some of the things said. I read basically the entire thread cause I was bored. However your the only one that had the need to respond in a negative way to me. Our coaches get paid a lot to make calls and setting rotations. And honestly most of the time in my life that I thought I was smarter than the other guy I was humbled. Take that however you would like. I will say this wasn't as bad as benching Hook/Hyatt lol

Teams have run the score up on us many times over the last 15ish years. Including 2018 vs Mizzou when they pounded our heads in 50-17. We couldn't stop those offenses and those offenses kept scoring points. I mean heck, we put in our 2's and 3's and still scored two more times. What more do people want? Should we have let Mizzou score a couple more times so the media could feel better about the situation? Forget that mess. If you are up by 4 scores then put your backups in. However, they should have the opportunity to run the offense. If the backups score, then maybe the opposing defense needs to get better and stop us. The whole CFB media world can take their talk about how we were disrespectful for running up the score and they can pound sand with it.

You specifically commented on two of my posts. So yes, I am going to respond with multiple comments against me. I was at the UGA game the weekend before and couldn’t attend Mizzou since my neighbor (former Vol player) had his birthday. In fact, he had many former great players at his house including the man in your name for this site.

I bet most of those were second half. The defense showed up finally about half way into the 3rd qrt. I was one of those really frustrated people in the first half especially with our DB's. I been on here with you for several years now and it's hard for me to believe you wouldn't have been just as frustrated as the rest of us were.

I was a little aggravated...but that is the reason I log out of this joint during games.

The thing is...a game is a collection of plays, some good and some bad...you guys never see when guys are making good plays. The fact is that this defense as a whole only gives up 21ish points per game...despite the opponents getting several more possessions a game than normal because of our style....so they ARE making a lot of good plays as well as the bad ones.

I hated that particular play in real time too, but I just kind of chuckled as they were showing the replay.

Missouri on a 40 something point pace and we should remain silent about the obvious?

That our db play is very poor more than half the time?

On one of those 3 and outs the qb threw a bullet from 5 yards away and we were lucky to get off the field

Self righteous hypocrites can gtho of here with that, id take those guys in a foxhole over you cowards any day

If you think youre watching good defense thats ok but youre not moving the needle with telling us how to think or proclaiming youre prism is more reasonable

Whats reasonable is to realize Heup is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken shat in some spots on the roster

Enjoying the ride sure but defense still sucks if youre old enough to have seen a good one

Well, I am just over here enjoying being a one loss team, being in the discussion for the playoffs, a Heisman favorite at QB, a WR deserving of winning, as well as an OL, etc.

But you have the right to stay in that fox hole and fight to make sure the world knows how angry you are about the defense. I don’t want to be in that hole with you. That’s why I avoid the game thread. It’s emotional posting. I get that it makes some of you feel better. But please don’t act like it accomplishes anything other than that. It doesn’t make the defense play better or the coaches coach better. But people are cowards for not complaining? We’re supposed to complain long enough and loudly to get coaches fired? We’ve done that for 20 years and only made it worse.

By the way, I didn’t say anything about it, but I don’t like being called a coward because I don’t join in on player and coach bashing.
