Hindsight maybe, but we were going to have maybe 30 seconds to drive a long way in the best case scenario. Fine with me to let them run it down rather than play with fire.

I think Heup is going to ground and pound in the 2nd half and try to take pressure off our tackles. Pass protection has been the main thing that’s suspect tonight. Been fortunate none of those turnovers didn’t turn to points, thanks to our defense.

I love this about Heupel. He isn't going to force his ideal offensive scheme when the circumstances don't allow it. Keep flipping the field and keep toting the rock. Wrinkle in a few gadget plays for big gains here and there. A few deep shots. Run the clock and let the DL do its thing.

This defense is really, really good. I mean, championship level good. It's impressive.

OU offense is bad - also making the D look good but they are still executing at a really high level - causing turnovers and safeties!

I thought our offense would play better. I didn't realize how similar OUs scheme is to ours and how prepared that defense would be. I thought we would score easily - it is clear we can't.

I am impressed with the patience to pound away and chip away. It takes real discipline.

The opportunities we have had and the field position we have had makes me think we should be up by more. But with the turnovers we are have given them it has evened out. Being up two scores on the road in a night game and an emotional game is nothing to shake a stick at.

Good first half. Score on your opening possession and keep the fight for 60 minutes. DO NOT LET UP.

If the DL keeps playing at this level this will break open by late in the 3rd quarter because their defense is going to get very tired. We will start running on them at will.
