How can you tell? They only showed the ball from looking straight at it. His arms are at the line and your arms hold the ball.

The ball was in his left arm. His left arm was by his waist. Shoulda had a different angle, the ref was in a horrible spot to make the call too

Refs have been bad all game, so has the play calling
