Great season! Great ending to a great season. My biggest disappointment was Hooker's injury. He's such a great guy. So glad he was there tonight and was up there with Joe.

Absolutely!! Heupel deserves COTY with what he has done with this program. It’s a shame he didn’t get it. Hooker deserved the Heistman…it’s a shame he didn’t get it. This will go down as one of my favorite teams. Just a bunch of hard-working young men who didn’t have all the stars attached to their names by recruiting services but outworked and out-hustled their opponents. This is the team to mark down that brought TN football back to national prominence!

Bc they’ve been pegged as worse than they actually are. The USCe brought on all of that, and that was earned. But 23.5 ppg coming in is good.

That game was such an anomaly. Just that one game if we could have back and not have whatever happened that week with Banks. We are one of the top 4 teams and should be playing today. We have the team that could have contended to win it all. That is the only bummer of the season (outside Hooker’s injury). Still, what a season by our guys!!

Sooo for my negative thoughts…..where was Sampson on offense? Not sure I saw him in any sets, also running a tight ship on wr reps will make it hard to keep guys happy. I get the freshmen not playing to reserve the redshirt but I figured we would have seen Walker out there a series or 2

I was looking forward to Joe's performance. He did much better than I expected. I thought the play calling got weak after the 2nd TD but they got aggressive in the 2nd half and Joe was up to the task. The good news is, they have an early season starting QB capable of using the full playbook and winning all the early games next season. He needs to work on his running capability and speed of the tempo offense.

That's exactly the team I thought of. Such an awesome team. Everyone at work the next day after the Sugar Bowl just sat around and celebrated the victory. It was fairly cold, but Knox County used the weather as an excuse to close schools the next day. At least that's how I remember it.
