Any SEC win is a good win. Only 7 teams won today and we are one of them. Defense did not play at the level I expected, that is more disappointing than JG. USC should not have run on us the way they did in 2nd half. Fortunately, in the end the defense held.

3 things:

1. We should have never been in that situation. Had plenty of chances to win and put away the game. We really mismanaged the end of the game. Lucky.

2. Hate that JG was airmailing down many key third down throws. Just terrible.

3. How does muschamp not go back to Shi Smith in the 4th quarter. He wasn’t targeted again. Unreal.

Knowing Pruitt, the defense can be fixed. I’m ok with defense because we had 2 DL out, and practice prep was not great this year.

I will say...we were in the same exact situation against SCjr in 2018...were were up 21-9 and let them comeback and win. Didn't happen this time...this team is learning how to win.

JG was atrocious on third downs. Airmailed it every time. One of the other QBs has to step up and take over. No doubt JG will cost us if he continues to start.

Yep. I came in expecting JG to be no better than he was past year. But I'm worried that the defense didn't look much improved from last year.
