Ask Orangeblood 79. When his family was going through their ordeal with little Ashley. Atlanta Vol came through big time to help. The guy is for realz. He also helps the program with..uhm...funding.. if you catch my drift.

Yea, but volatil was the contact person for collecting the funds.

Also does a ton for recruiting too. Has a lot of GA kid connections. He mentioned this in one of those long quotes earlier.

My focus and attention has been ensuring the program know where i stand on the current situation and also trying to help keep some of these recruits at bay while the ship is falling apart if that makes sense.

I still don't know who AtlVol is. I know Volatil or, rather, my wife knows him; they're co-workers. We'll talk occasionally through Facebook but I generally keep a low profile on the internet...just comes with my job, I suppose.

As for ATL, I'd love to meet him. While I appreciate his info, I'd just like to introduce him to Ashlee...

Who, by the way, got another great cardiologist checkup today. We've reached ANNUAL appointments... awesome and scary at the same time.

It seemed like that whole ordeal was stressful for the whole board...I cant even imagine how it was for your family. Im a fairly salty guy but every time you post an update about her health, it still makes me smile.

I did not know specifics, and it's been awhile, I just know he helped out. That's great to hear about Ashlee. I know we disagree sometimes about stupid games, but many prayers have been prayed for you guys, and that is what is really important.

FSU hasn't had a losing season since 76? Crazy

Yeah when we talk about our program being elite and then you run into stats like that from other programs it puts things into stark perspective.

That is some serious consistency. FSU has been in a different tier of CFB for quite some time.

When I came back to work, after her first (of seven) surgeries, I had a coworker ask when I got so much gray. I literally went salt and pepper in about a month. She nearly died twice and I can't think of how many times I thought that I was going to bury my daughter, especially over the first nine months of her life. It's something that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy...but we're lucky, there are so many families who've had worse than we have and they're all on the Fifth floor at Vandy Children's Hospital.

I'm pretty salty too, but get me talking about this and I'm a big baby.

Meanwhile we are staring down our fifth losing season in eight years. I don’t think any of the traditionally elite programs have had a stretch like that anytime in the last 50+ years. I went and checked one time and couldn’t find any that have. We all remember Bama being down but it wasn’t like this.

We have really fallen back to the middle of the pack.

Really hope we get this next hire right.
