When he committed there was no way to tell where his head was. Did you notice his fake at a slide on the next play?

Happens dozens of times every game every Saturday. Other defenders don't seem to find a way to avoid that.
 
Other QBs slide earlier. The targeting rule was put in place to protect defensless receivers not QBS sliding.

Not true at all. Defenseless players. Not one single person other than Tennessee fans would say that's a bad call. You can dislike the rule, but that was clearly a hit to the head on a defenseless player.
 
I was one of them that used to complain about AJ in space. Just goes to show the effect of having legit SEC caliber players around him now.

He's still no Ray Lewis in space but my bad AJ!!!

Obviously, defenders should be able to defy the laws of physics and instantly change their trajectory.
