Recruiting Forum: UNofficial Kentucky Pre-Game Thread

Good morn all. Today will make yesterday's hoops loss disappear in my mind with a win and almost ensuring bowl eligibility. Also going to start looking for tickets to the Vandy game after we win today. After going to Neyland and watching our hopes of a bowl game get crushed by Vandy (Jordan Matthews) last year, I need to be there when we put the beatdown on them in Nash. GBFO

Today is my last full day on my honeymoon. We allowed ourselves 15 minutes of Internet per day. Here's the question:

They have a sports bar at this resort which might have SEC network or not. Likely doesn't.

I am DVRing the game and can watch it a Sunday night. I can most likely avoid Internet and outcome of game until then.

Do I push the new wife to watch the game at resort or wait for DVR and risk seeing results somewhere?

I say I wait for DVR. Gimme your thoughts.

Easy...if the game is on at the resort, watch. Provide your new wife with a private half-time show...return to watch 2nd half...then give her a post-game show. Make it a tradition of your new marriage. Win-win imo. :salute:

If it is not being played at the resort, tell your new wife that even though you really want to watch the game, you will not on your honeymoon because this is a special time for the two of you. (Stay away from any TVduring game time). Be creative and do something that keeps your mind off the game :)

Hope that helps. Our anniversary is in March, so I am safe...

I remember a couple of weeks ago everyone was predicting a USCe blowout. We haven't blown anyone out all year. We win but it will be by 3-7 points.

All these people being so confident reminds me too much of the Florida game.

I just hope we win -- whether it's by 1 or 100, I just want the win.

Watch the game! The honeymoon is over.

Zona, DVR it brother. Enjoy the time you have with your new wife. Unless she wants to watch it, too, then I say watch it.

First mistake was having a wedding in the fall during football season.

But that is done. Gotta move on I guess.

I have some good memories of being on trips (granted, not the honeymoon though I got married in the summer like a good vols fan, but whatevz) and watching the vols.

I got married in November during Peyton s Senior season.

Played Southern Mississippi that day.

Married in 1998.

Bachelor party in Knoxville for UT vs Fla
Wedding day was UT vs Houston (respectfully didn't watch but got frequent score updates from my dad)
Honeymoon involved watching Jamal run all over Auburn while in Napa.

Was a perfect run till Jamal got all broke at the end of Aub.
Everything worked out in the end though. 1998 season and the marriage.

Possibly, not sure yet. I need to look around for tickets and see what kind of prices I can find.

You going?

Yes sir! Usually go with my bro-in-law, but he can't make it. So, sold his 2 tickets to some old friends back where I grew up, and will meet them before the Vol walk. I'm staying for the weekend in Oak Ridge, and was thinking about hitting up Buffalo Wild Wings in Turkey Creek for lunch and watch a little football. Going to see if yall might be going, and might want to meet up for lunch.
