Re: Have we passed Tennessee in talent?
Yes! And, we have always had higher ethical standards and higher IQ's than their fans. The surgeon general says "rap" music and "rocky top" cause retardation! Explains the lower IQ in Tenn!
Based solely on recruiting rankings the last four years, Tennessee has averaged the 18th ranked class in America while South Carolina has averaged the 22nd ranked class. That's not much difference at all.
Based on the on-the-field results the past four seasons, I'd argue the two teams are very similar in overall talent level. The series is split 2-2, and the games have been very competitive with the exception of last season.
Jarvis Giles was the #3 all purpose back in the country. Not much difference there. I'll take Giles anyday because of his character. Bryce Brown's recruitment to Tennessee looked more like an NFL free agent deal than a high school kid picking a college. Sketchy all the way around.
Kiffin will get murdered this year in the SEC. He's picked a fight he can't win.
If Garcia protects the ball and we get a break here or there we enough talent to win 9 games.
Berry's a stud but the Gamecocks have the better secondary, as well as LBs and DL.
If your QBs are so great, then why did they receive death threats last year from your classless and clueless fan base? Other than Eric Berry and a couple of incoming freshmen who might land you soon on probation if your Lame coach doesn't do it first, what do you have? USC has definitely caught UcheaT as evidenced by our recent record and recruiting classes, and is on its way to pass the Viles.
By the way, how did you enjoy watching virtually everyone else, including USC, play in their bowl games last year? Even Vandy and UK have just about caught the Viles!
