Urban Crier is now Urban Liar. He may save parts of the recruiting class, but when he then leaves everyone will know that Foley knew all along and Elam will feel screwed because he is being lied to.

Amen. I hope their recruits are more intelligent than to believe that CUM is coming back.

Anyone think it suspicious that CUM waited until Strong signed with UL before making this move?

No, as much as I hate Meyer this had to be the hardest decision he has ever made and the recent second stint in the hospital is most likely what pushed this through. Strong to UL has been in the works for weeks now, even before the SECCg.

COUNTY (Bay News 9) -- A Polk County high school football star is one of five teenagers facing charges in connection with an armed-robbery rampage.

One of the teenagers is 18-year-old Quinshon Odom, Lake Gibson High School's star quarterback. ESPN called Odom one of the Elite 11 college football prospects.

Odom and the other four teenagers were arrested Tuesday night after St. Augustine police said they robbed several people at gunpoint. The victims identified the teenagers, who were also linked to car break-ins.

They were caught with a shotgun and stolen property, police said.

Makes it a lot easier to weed out the problem players when they commit crimes before getting on campus... of course there's always going to be a Willie Williams here and there.

why is that?

Came in a 5* and one of the top 5 players in the country, but didn't amount to anything while at UT. He was known for being dumb and just didn't have a good head on his shoulders, but he may put the blame on UT. Had one good run his entire career.

True, but what a great run it was. He saved it for the biggest stage

Indeed. Too bad it was the last game of his career (minus the bowl game), but it was an amazing run. Part of the reason he never amounted to anything also could have been due to his RB coach, the Great Towel Boy.

You guys have really selective memories. Riggs was very good for us in 2004 and 2005.

Very good would be a stretch. Was he decent? Sure. But I think "very good" is a little much, ESPECIALLY when you come in with that type of potential. When you are the #1 RB coming out of HS, you're expected to be great and play on Sundays. He did neither.

Had about 1100 yards in 2004 and would've done it again in 2005 had he not been injured. You guys act like the sum of his career was a few special teams tackled.

I'll give you 2004. He was good that year, but only 500 yards his senior year is not "very good". Sorry.

I graduated from Lake Gibson. Where abouts are you in Lakeland?

He played with no QB help and had 500 yards in 5 full games. Without him we don't get our one decent win that year. He also put us at first and goal from the 4 to win the Bama game on his final run. Of course, two false starts ruined that opportunity.
