Recruiting rumor (not major)

Just from the film, I really like Bray's potential much more than Scroggins. He seems like he could be another Ryan Mallett type of guy. However I'm not a football coach so they don't need to take my opinion.

But I would think if we are in on some big time QB's for 2011 then why not wait and not take the chance of scaring a guy off that might be better.

That doesn't classify as a leak in my opinion. CLK has said repeatedly that they don't back off just because a recruit has committed elsewhere. She's not divulging any info that the public doesn't already know.
You could be right but this staff doesnt look at things the way the old one did. People have been let go for similar occurences.

This question is for everyone but I would really love to hear Eric, vader, sabanochio, jmva ..... What QB does tennessee get for 2011? Thanks in advance

Well, it's looking like we are in the best shape with Worley right now. He's been on campus at least twice, once for practice and once for the UCLA game. He's the only QB that we've had in Knoxville that I'm aware of. We have a shot at a few more, but they seem to be favoring other schools. The good thing is, most of the highly rated '11 QBs are right here in the South. We won't have to worry about pulling a QB from all the way across the country next year...

I think you just outted Kiffin's secretary. IMO It would be wise for our coaches to keep after Scroggins. May not help! But one thing for sure..We don't have a chance to get him at all if we don't try. What can it hurt? JMO

Maybe the days of positive Qb debates are on the way....

Please, forget about Scroggins. If he came here he would ride the pine longer. Tyler Bray is a better fit for the system. At USC he might get to play when Barkley leaves.

For the '11 class, we're in best with Worley right now. He's struggled so far this season, but lost his receiving corp from last season. The sooner Golson commits to UNC, the better for us on the Worley front. LV, I like your posts and appreciate the information you bring, but the ... at the end of every post drives me crazy.

Scouts have rated him the number 2 or 3 qb in the nation for a reason I think they know alot more than we all do about evaluating talent.

And the sites also ranked Micheal Taylor a 3 star prospect and our coaches don't see him as one either does anyone on this board, the kid is an absolute BEAST.
So what's your point? You can't go by the star rankings you need to go by the evaluations the coaches give. I honestly can't see us taking another QB this class. I think it would kill our chances of getting an elite prospect next class.

And the coaches know more then us or them so ill leave it up to them to evaluate talent.

Give up on JS fellas. That ship has sailed halfway around the world already. I honestly would not trade Brays commitment for JS anyway. I truly believe that one of the best things that happened to the future of our team was NOT getting JS, and snagging TB as a result. If Scroggins turns into a Hypesman winner, I will eat my crow....but I will be HIGHLY surprised if JS ever even sees the field at SC. He will be behind "the chosen one" for at least 2 years....and by then, SC will have their next 5* stud on campus to take over. Bad move Scrogg.

Crompton was a 5* & the 2nd rated QB in the nation behind Mark Sanchez....where did that get them?

We need all the help we can get at QB. One QB may not be enough... sorry.

Good one. Wish we would have landed Sanchez instead. Talk about a huge gap in those evaluations coming to fruition.
