Hubbs. I don't know if they are recruiting Nichols

Oh ok. I haven't heard Arkansas seriously mentioned with either of them, that's why I was asking. I think they would like to play together, but at the same time that doesn't necessarily mean they will.

Hopefully they both are in orange next year.

Nick King has said today he will wait until spring to committ, after his season is over. In my opinion this is good news for the Vols. if CCM has made up this much ground in just a few months, maybe he can put us in the lead by spring.

BTO, I assume you played HS and/or college basketball. If so, where?

I actually didn't, baseball was "my good" sport so that's what I concentrated on through school. Played basketball in rec leagues some for fun, but not competitive, all my time went to baseball. I've always enjoyed basketball more though, and when I hurt my shoulder I really got into basketball even more.

Played ball at Jefferson county though, had college opportunities til the injury, so didn't play college ball. Tried to give it a go again a few years back, but the arm strength just wasn't the same.

Mike Decourcy gave a rather scathing review of Nick King this morning on the radio. Apparently King stunk up the gym in the nike peach tree jam last night. He said he questioned if King had inner ear problems after missing ten shots inside 3 feet - and not really being close on any of them. When questioned about his lack of court awareness after the game King said he hit is head last week and is still suffering from a concussion. Of course, Decourcy was not convinced.

Decourcy must think he's not going to Memphis or Kentucky. Kid was carried off the court and his face was a bloody mess at the Global Challenge. I'm surprised he showed up this week.

King shot 49 pct FGs, 44 pct 3s and 74 pct FTS in the 20-game EYBL regular season. Don't think there's much doubt he can put the ball in the basket.

Some of the most passionate basketball fans I know never played competitive basketball.

Weird how it works. I always had more fun playing and watching basketball, than baseball. I just was always very good at baseball, and limited in what I could do in basketball so through school I concentrated on baseball.

Since I graduated though I've really gotten big into the basketball scene. Go and watch as much high school games as possible, help coaching, and will watch any college game on tv that may be on. I cant say the same about any other sport, I just love the game of basketball.

There is some kind of connection with his HS coach and Anderson I guess. Have heard that Anderson was in on him pretty early. Vandy has pretty much cooled on him but I don't see him in Arkansas and Anderson is overrated as a recruiter IMO.

Ahhh I forgot who posted that, the same guy that after 1 loss is calling for the coach to be fired, the king of over reaction.

You can take it up with DeCourcy. He probably has no idea what he's talking about - his HOF for writing about college basketball was a fluke. I was just posting a summary of his personal observation on a kid.

Actually DeCourcy said the fact King is a top 25 player is proof how weak this class is. He said next year is stacked, but this year is about the weakest he's seen in a long time.

I'm guessing this is you setting the stage, that way when CCM pulls top 25 player(s) you can say how it's not that impressive because it's a weak class.

Well he's probably the only one saying 2013 is weaker than 2012.

Well, I don't know how concrete this is but some family members here in Memphis say that he likes UT but is not going to commit to UT. I take that to mean he is leaning heavily to Duke.:ermm::ermm::ermm::ermm:

Sorry, I am referring to Nichols.

Having played competitively for most of my life, I get really irritated watching guys who don't give 100%. Cause I would do anything for a chance to play one more time. I think I'm even more passionate because I played.
