Not in about 5 or 6 years. I wouldn't mind going to see them one night, though I remain unconvinced that they are anything more than, at best, a second round loser.

Oh, okay. That would explain the juco route for her. Wonder if she healed up ...

At any rate, I'm sure its being investigated and the NCAA will review it and figure out if there was anything done improperly. Seems apparent on its face its not a Reggie Bush-type scenario. But if Meyer pulled strings to give a scholarship to an otherwise unqualified athlete in order to secure another recruit, then there ought to be some sort of repercussion for that. Maybe not quite death penalty level, but not a minimal censure either.

actually apparently the only violation would be meyer "recruiting" for the UF gymnastics team since he isn't a gymnastics coach. I don't think it is a huge deal either. When it was first reported I said I would hope Cal's gymanastics coach would do the same things seeing as how the football program essentially pays for their program.

ucla has a very good gymnastics program so she probably had some good talent at some point, but all indications are that before this UF offer she had given up her career. :dunno:

When I was in undergrad there (a long, long time ago), a friend of mine dated one of the gymnasts at UF. She was reputedly quite ... nimble. I did enjoy their parties. Very spirited.
