The backs UT have on the roster for next year will be difference makers.

How can You are anyone else form that opinion when together they have had 28 attempts between the 3 of them especially with this O-Line.

The RB's UT is recruiting hard are:
#1 LeSean McCoy  5-11/204/4.4 Harrisburg, PA (Grades are an Issue)
#2 Stafon Johnson 5-11/200/4.4 Los Angeles, CA
#4 C.J. Spiller 5-9/185/4.4 Lake Butler, FL
#6 Josh Adams 6-0/170/4.58 Cary, NC
Keiland Williams 6-0/215/4.4 Hargrave

your probly correct on that one however C.J. Spiller is probly my fav outa the group based on what ive seen. we'll see what happens. We need to get Vidal Hazleton and we have climbed up his list. He is a meachem-like reciever. with 4.4 speed and lots of height

We got a 5 star juco player named Walter Fisher. He signed with us originally out of HS but is just now getting back to Knoxville. He will be considered a member of the 2006 signing class.

Nice, Fisher and JT Mapu should be able to help out on the Dline next year.

I don't think McCoy is too far of a stretch at all. We have a great reputation with LB's. We develop them and send them to the NFL. That is what recruits look for.

if we dont learn how to develop the the weaker players into good ones then we are going to have more trouble off..

Speaking of LB recruits, the #3 overall LB in the country (Tatum) rated his visit a "perfect 10" and said it was going to be hard for Miami or USC to beat the experience he had on his UTK visit. And, the #5 OLB recruit in the country (forgot his name) has said that one of his visits will definately be UTK because he loves the SEC and has noticed how many LB's UTK has put into the NFL. So, those are two pieces of good news.

Seems McCoy and Johnson both have had Ut at or near the top of their list for a few months now.
Also it seems the coaches feel pretty good about them.

The problem with McCoy is grades.

Walter Fisher was a UT signee 2 years ago who failed to make his grades and was placed by UT, he reaffirmed his commitment to UT back in the spring. Other schools can recruit him if they wish but his commitment is firm and has been firm for the last 2 years. He was just given 5-stars by Rivals which most knew how good he was 2 years ago when he signed with UT as a LB.

#6 Josh Adams 6-0/170/4.58 Cary, NC
Keiland Williams 6-0/215/4.4 Hargrave

McCoy will go to PSU, or prep school for a year then PSU.

Johnson will go to USC, or at least stay on the west coast.

Spiller is a head case and I don't want him. He switches leaders every other week. Most likely will end up somewhere in Florida.

Adams is a ?. Not great speed nor great size. Probably stays in state though.

We have a chance with Williams if we get a visit. Darius Myers is trying to get a visit for us.

We won't get Hazelton, he'll prolly go to Miami. But I think we sign the #1 lb class with Grant, Tatum, Miller, and possibly another name or two.

Fisher has been a UT commit for a long time, he just now got ranked, though.

well we have a lot of young players in the secondary so if we get a lot of this young lbs we should be set?? How is our line lookin for the future?

#42

the line should be set pretty well for next year. we arent recruiting too hard for the dline. we have a few coming in(fisher, mapu) and are recruiting others. the ones we are bringing in can come in and play immediately so that wont be a concern.

There are only 7 ranked players who have a high interest or have committed to UT per http://scout.scout.com/a.z?s=7&p=9&c=4&yr=2006.

Most of the other ranked players who have medium interest usually list UT as 3rd or 4th on their list. It looks to me, like we will not have a good recruiting year.

no, we WILL NOT have a big recruiting year. we took 27 names, 3 of which didnt qualify, last year. we are very picky this year, looking mainly for sleepers and such with limited schollys. weve got all positions covered that we need though. we dont really need a qb or rb, but may take one rb. we should take a few wrs. we'll take a few te/ol/dl athletes. we'll take some ol. we'll take some dl. we may take a db or two and we'll take a few lbs. we'll get ours but we wont be top 5.

o, i wouldnt follow scout for recruiting purposes. they are off on alot of it and they dont exactly have recruiting gurus other than greenevol.
