I really want mike Bellamy, we played great and had Arnett and Martin visiting (not to mention Couch) I really hope he was impressed and invites Dooley and Chaney into his home. And visits in January for a vol basketball game.

I love Tennessee football, but let's not get carried away. "I need more, more, more." Lulz. Ridiculous.

Oh, forgot to mention last night that since it was Homecoming a lot of the big guns were back in town to visit. I saw Leonard Little, Eric Westmoreland, Montario Hardesty, etc. yesterday. Can't hurt to let the recruits see all the Lettermen are back in town supporting the program.

I doubt any of them know who the majority of those guys are, Hardesty probably but the rest I doubt it. I guess we'll see what happens in a few months

And the end result is why we should have invited all the recruits to this game instead of the Bama beatdown. The combination of a 12pm day game and losing by almost 4 TD's last year doomed Ole Miss from the start.

Common misconception. Whether a team wins or loses does not affect a recruit's decision near as much as people think.

I don't understand why people do not get this very fact. One game pretty much means squat in a kids decision.

but the last 2 starts with bray at qb means everything. that fr will be the star for there next 3 years . and all they have to do is watch him play and go How the Hell did he do that?

Got a first-hand report on Marcus Jackson - seems like he had a great time at UT. Bought a bunch of UT gear and sounded like he was genuinely interested and excited to be in Knoxville. TIFWIW

Overall? Maybe not. But winning gives a positive feeling to a recruit because the place had good energy. And they remember that energy. It may not be a key factor but it is a factor. To say it does not at least affect them is kind of ridiculous. IMO.

I agree totally. It's easy to check out, but many folks still insist it is the defining moment. Coaches know better-they've seen it. It's a factor for very few players.
