Recruiting list so far for Georgia

Per Hubbs

The Georgia visitor list continues to grow for the Vols and as of now here's who we have in for official visits:

Javon McKinley
Freddie Swain
Mykel Jones
Bryson Young
Jordan Woods

That list will likely continue to grow as we move closer to the game.

I always wonder how all the coaches keep up with all of the different recruit's names and their bio info., etc. I guess when you're talking to these kids every single day, it becomes 2nd nature. I wouldn't be surprised, though, if Butch had the media department print up special player "trading cards" that he and the assistants had to re-memorize every morning.

Now that's an impressive list! Nationdom's head is probably spinning thinking about all the stars.

I honestly think the coaches wear ear buds and has someone whispering in their ear. I was with my son on an unofficial a couple years back. We were underneath the stadium eating prior to being taken out on the field when CBJ approached us. He addressed us both by our first names (OK, we did have on our badges with our names) but he then started asking about family & friends that weren't even with us, calling them by first names as well. No way he remembers that kind of info on every prospect. Especially one he'd never met before.

When you have the whole staff involved, each one assigned a region, it makes it possible. I am sure each coach has an I-PAD that is dedicated to recruiting only.

Believe it or not, there are folks like you and me on this site that recognize the faces of major recruits each year. And they do it for nothing except their personal interest in the process. You better believe if there is a player who can get you a raise and a contract extension, you will keep his name straight.

I remember when the coaches and players were first meeting. CBJ would grab aa player and ask the coach the player's name. Maybe not from his position or side of the ball, bit the asst was supposed to know. Same with players knowing players.

DeAngelo Gibbs is the nephew of Dale Carter? Cool, didn't know that.

ESPN's national recruiting analyst just said he would commit early, down to UT and UGA.

By my count, there are TEN top 100 players from the 2017 class visiting. If we can close the deal on those guys, we could definitely have the #1 rated recruiting class in 2017. Neyland better be rocking louder than ever not only to help us beat Oklahoma but also bolster our chances with all these recruits.

Let's bump this up. How do you think our recruits feel after watching that game? Do you think offensive players would want to come here? I think Striker was yelling at the recruits to come play for OU.

We aren't really going head to head with OU for many recruits. If anything Striker showing his a$$ does nothing to help them. I think our recruits saw the best environment possible and the passion our program has. A win certainly would've been nice but it's not a deal breaker. I think we do need to win some meaningful games (UF, UGA, Bama, Mizz) to keep momentum going.

Does anyone with a subscription to any of TOS see any quotes from recruits over the weekend? Very interested to see what the visitors thought of the atmosphere. This thread would be a good place to compile them all.

Why would recruiting take a hit? Butch Jones to any recruit last night. We are right there all we need is you to get us over the top.

On defense yes but... Recruit to Butch Jones: Coach your offense is awful.
