Dobbs will be a senior while the 16 class redshirts. Dobbs isn't likely to factor into any of their decisions. And luckily, neither will the silliness from the UT fans.

He would get eaten alive with this OL. Dobbs can escape the pressure and Dormady can't.

How in the world do you know Dormady can't escape pressure? He hasn't been put in that position at UT. He is told to just hand the ball to the RB's. You must have a really good crystal ball. Can you give us some lottery numbers to play? Thanks in advance.

I actually like the fact that Butch doesn't run up the score, but I think there's a happy medium. Against UK I would have liked to have seen Dormady get to run the offense for one drive before going to the ole 3-runs-and-a-punt strategy. JMO.

That's what was so disappointing about the North Texas game. We should have been able to put Dormady in there for the whole second half.

I agree. I am not pushing for benching Dobbs at all. He has done an excellent job leading the team even with his passing problems. But, it would have been nice to get Dormady more reps cause you never know if or when an injury could come to Dobbs. After the brutal schedule and the hits he took, I am surprise Dobbs didn't sustain more injuries. Which gives credit to his physical conditioning. I just think no matter who maybe the second in line to take the field give them as much reps as possible. I think there were some more opportunities he could have gotten some more reps.

I'm asking for one freaking drive of actually running the offense with Dormady. Probably irrelevant at this point but if Dormady had been forced to play at least it would've given him some real game simulation.

And with the 1st team OL. It is almost like Butch does not want any QB controversy, so why play Dormady? But Dobbs is 1 play away from injury, so why not give Dormady meaningful playing time?

That's some interesting logic that makes absolutely no sense...Top WRs currently in HS are not looking at Dobbs when they make their college choice. They are watching and talking to Jarrett Guarantano and Hunter Johnson.

As I said, potential WR prospects need to show patience until the gunslingers get on campus (plus Dormady, of course).

I hope you are right and they ARE talking to JG and HJ.

He's sitting on the bench--Dormady.

Going to be interesting to see if they allow true competition at QB next year. I want to see if QD's going to be given the opportunity to win the starting job. JMO, but I think his passing ability can surpass that of Dobbs, and he is capable of being effective running though not as dynamic as Dobbs. I like Dobbs, but he has missed on many big play opportunities in the passing game and I want to see if the offense is more dynamic with a QB whose skills/strengths are the opposite of Dobbs.
