I think if the Red Sox can beat the Rays they have beaten the best team left. I think it will be hard fought but give the Sox a small edge because of the amount of players who have seen the post season so many times. It would not suprise me if we lost also because the Rays are great at home and have our # this year!

Who do you like?

out of 18 games this year, us winning 8 and losing 10 isn't exactly them "having our number"
six of their wins were by 1 run, so it could've easily been edged the other way.

I think this will be a flat out intense series, and I think Pedroia gets going, Longoria tears things apart, and Lester keeps on doing what he's doing. Lowrie i think makes a name for himself as well. Him and Bartlett both will frustrate the other team's fans.

Dice k is good on the road, Beckett will be focused and figure it out, and Lester in game 3 on full rest makes me happy.

A game will be blown by each bullpen, maybe more than once. (Delcarmen or Okajima, I'm talking to you), and I'm honestly not incredibly confident going up against 4 games at the Trop.

Starting tonight, there will be some damn good baseball to watch, and I love it.

I'll be pulling for the Rays. I'll never root against a Joe Madden coached team.

what is so special about a manager who's name you can't spell correctly?

It's not like he ever did anything extraordinary while with the Angels.

Haha, I got to thinking about the spelling of his name right out of the blue today. I was wondering if anyone would catch on.

As for why I like him. It's simple, he was a winner with the Angels and he's now changed the culture of the Rays' franchise.

Bitter A's fans, they get me every time.

In about 2-3 years, I'd have to go look at some of these guys contracts the Rays will look like the Marlins after they won the World Series.

Very depleted.

They do need to keep Price as long as they can though. I think that kid is a talent, unlike Dwayne Brazelton.

AH I hope my boys can win tonights game because if they dont I feel the Rays will win out. If the Rays win I think they win it all.

Shields, Kazmir and Longoria are locked in for awhile there.

Well, it looks like Boston finally doesn't have the ALCS magic this year. Too bad, cause I like the Sox, but good for Tampa, it's exciting to see a team with limited resources "doing it the right way" and winning with young kids they pretty much drafted and developed on their own. Best of luck to them in the World Series.
