Redshirt for Nia Gone?

She brought the ball up because the guards didn't get themselves open to receive an outlet pass. Not the first time she's had to bring the ball up either.

They could play Nia in a three post rotation with Russell and Graves.
Point guard Carter and Cooper
Wings Deshields, Middleton, Nared, and if she is contributing Reynolds. I don't expect Jones back this season concussion must be bad been out over a month. Dunbar is a spot player can't guard a position. Jackson has to sit this year other than mop up duty needs to work on her offensive games. She is ok on defense.

Wow Jones has been out that long, well do you have her apply for a medical?

I like the three post, Graves is at the three, Nia at the for, Russell at the five, it would be a nice change up. A lot of Lady Vols 3 and 4 out are the same sets offensively.

I think Middleton with that group would be better, Coooper or Middleton and Deshields.

Nice post!

This lineup would be vulnerable to pressure bringing the ball up and conversely wouldn't be able to pressure the ball themselves. The lane would be clogged even more, also. Not a good lineup.

But what do I know. Maybe it would work against SC.

If Graves played the way she played against Auburn and Notre Damne last year, it can work and the team handled Auburn pressure with relatively ease, you practice it, especially against, Texas, Marylands, SC, just a nice change up, to find a favorable matchup, spacing would be the key, maybe 1 to 3 minutes a half.

jones probably needs to seek a medical redshirt as her concussions generally require weeks of rehab. best for her and the team

What are the rules? Wasn't last season a medical redshirt for her? I thought the rules for redshirting were that an athlete had five seasons to complete four seasons of eligibility. For Jones, she's played two seasons, took a red shirt last season, now this season appears in jeopardy. How does she get a second medical redshirt?

Normally the rule is 5 seasons to play in 4. Since she got a medical redshirt last year, she'll have to apply for a waiver to get another. It's not a slam dunk, but it's possible. Remember Jackie Gemelos?

Holly made a comment about Jones having many positive contributions to the team even is she never plays another game. I wonder if there is some discussion in progress that she should not ever return. Two bad concussions in back-to-back years could be career ending.

Moore might deserve more minutes as she can score. Would you play her with Graves and Russell, taking minutes away from Nared? Moore doesn't have great court awareness sometimes on defense--neither does Graves--and she can't guard the perimeter as Nared can. But she is confident with the ball.

I would like to see Nia get more minutes,I think she could be a good one,I think that her and Graves would be a good combo just from a court speed advantage ,with Dunbar helping to crash the boards on defense

like gule all ways says
