Yeah, all I could do was shake my head. Unfortunately thatās not the first time Iāve seen them have to do that. Can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that a man whose job it is to officiate football games had to publicly announce "The ruling of fourth down is under review," and then required five minutes to determine that it was, indeed, fourth down?
If this game was at Alabama or Georgia,
I doubt we get some of those calls.
You're crazy. Both were def PIThe officials blew the PI call on us in the end zone when our defender was pulled down by the receiver. But, they gave us one back when they called pass interference on Bama later at the 1 yd line when pass was deflected and picked off. Close call, but I thought that one was clean.
As General Neyland said though, if at first the breaks don't go your way, put on more steam. That's exactly what we did. From all of the players to all of the fans!
I SAID IT'S GREAT TO BE A TENNESSEE VOL!

We got away with a couple roughing the passers oh Bryce. They got away with a few holding calls on offense.
The refs blew the whistle too early and ruled forward progress stopped too early on Jaylen Wright and Alabama should have recovered a fumble. They got six points on a bogus PI call in the end zone and would have to take a FG instead.
So overall, it was even IMO.

No, I think youāre just being a crybaby here. It looked to me like everybody in the whole stadium, including the refs, knew what down it was, but the guy holding the sign insisted that it be called into question. Thatās how it looked.
i think there were some bad calls both ways honestly... BUT the biggest thing that stood out to me was the refs WERE NOT giving Bama all the breaks like in the past
Saban's check must not have cleared
I am sorry, but what was the bad call that Tennessee benefitted from? The one "late hit" that may be questioned was the result of our player being semi-tackled by an Alabama offensive lineman. I literally did not see a holding call during the game that should have been called on Tennessee but saw time and time again Alabama offensive linemen literally tackled our d-linemen.
