Refs need to start having consequences for doing their job poorly.

The one that stands out to me was a few years ago against Bama. We rushed up to the line to run a play from like the 5 yard line and the Alabama defense was so confused they had no idea what was going on. The ref literally stopped the game for no reason so Alabama could get set on defense. I was just in disbelief that it would be so obvious.
they will just explain it away like they did the 4th and 1 against Florida. Florida has the right to substitute because.....

It’s beyond time. Sick of it being the one of the few jobs in this country where you can be as terrible and never having to face any consequences. Fine them. Suspend them. Fire them. They know they’re untouchable. Officiating in the SEC in particular has been hot garbage for 20 years now. Embarrassing for “the best conference in college football”. Why are these jokers untouchable?
I agree. Where do we put the guillotines? Maybe we could checkerboard them? 😂

I recall that the same thing happened with Bama played Mississippi in either 2020 or 2021 (although it could have been last year too). I believe it was on Mississippi's opening drive.

There have been others. In deference to a good friend of mine . . . I won't go into why I know lol.
Yeah - I thought it was interesting that the article referenced that was the first public one. Just further shows the total lack of accountability. There are hardly ever any repercussions, and when there are, it usually isn't public. Even though they have a very public job.
