Refs took away our chance to win.

I did watch it again; nothing new to see. SEC refs do suck, and there are any number of bad calls and bad no-calls in every single game.

I guess this obvious agenda is something new because UF is hardly a blue-blood, and routinely ranks as one of the teams that fouls the least in the country every year anyway... always has, it's a BD staple.

Does that mean the refs had the opposite agenda when UT was beating UF regularly over the past few years?

It's all perspective I guess, but I suspect there were similar sentiments for the regular season games, even the one in your own house... which is how fans who are ref conspiracy theorists single themselves out, and the rest of the fans can recognize them.

If some of a teams' fans are still whining about officiating when the game is in their own house and it's obvious to everyone else they're getting the typical home-cooking advantage that all teams get, blue-blood or not, then that's telling about that small faction of the fan base... we all have a group like that.

Looking at all 3 games, fouls turned out like this...

SECT - UF - 16 UT - 18
@ Knoxville - UF - 17 UT - 18
@ Gainesville - UF - 17 UT - 19

Wow, looks pretty consistent to me. And not just consistent between the 2 teams in all 3 games, but consistent with the number of fouls called on each team per game all season long. UF is #11 in the country averaging 16 fouls per game; and UT is #39 averaging 17.1. NCAA® National Rankings

Not only that, but in 2 of the games UT was behind at the end, but close enough to foul intentionally to try and extend the game; meaning they actually called more fouls on Florida than Tennessee during regular action. The game @ UF was out of reach so UT didn't foul at the end of that one.

You make a nice point, but the total foul stat is almost completely worthless. Here's something eye opening, next time Doug Shows, Pat Adams, or either of the Eades whistle a UT game, pay attention to each time they blow a whistle. Notice how heavily favored their whistle is.

Total foul stat doesn't indicate travels, palming, etc., whether they're called or not.
