DeBoer has received unearned crap from fans this year. But he deserves some today. This was a meaningless game that could have been utilized to build to next year. There is absolutely no reason that Simpson and/or Mack didn't get a single snap.

I agree except with meaningless. Bammers don't do meaningless games. Maybe that's why Deboer didn't take the opportunity you suggest.

No, it was meaningless. The result didn't matter. We needed to see some guys get some live ball snaps. We did on defense, as we had 5 starters out. The young guys did really, really well. We wasted the opportunity on offense.

Was it going to be meaningless if it was a win. Should have played a younger QB, Milroe was awful.

It would have been meaningless, win or lose. What would beating this Michigan team have meant? We may well have lost with another QB. It's not like I'm guaranteeing a win with Simpson or Mack. But Milroe guaranteed a loss in the first 10 minutes.

He's looked awful throwing for the past 3 games. He personally accounted for 10 turnovers in the last 10 quarters of the season.

Edit: given that he had no turnovers in the last 3 qtrs, he actually had 10 turnovers in 7 qtrs.

Several teams like Ole Miss, Tx and UF got favorable matchups. I don't think we'll see an SEC team be the NC and I think there's a pretty good change UGA doesn't get by ND.

so now the SEC isn’t as good, even if they go 2:1 in bowl games, because they played “bad” teams? The two best conferences had 3+ teams in the playoffs so there’s only so much we can match up with. ND hasn’t played anyone this year remotely close to UGA’s speed and talent level and Kirby has had 4 weeks to talk about how everyone is discounting them and not respecting them (whether it’s true or not). He might be the best big game motivator in CFB, where he struggles is in the games where they should roll the opponent and instead they go through the motions.

'Bama fans whined about not being included in CFP. They suffered a beat down in Oklahoma. Navy beat Oklahome. Bama and Navy had equal records. Can we extrapolate from the numbers that Navy should have been rated above the Crimson Slide?
