As deep as they are they'd have a ways to go with suspensions before anyone need toss out the "I want them at their best" card.

Remember in 07 when they had like 8 players suspended including over half of their OL.

Then they proceded to whip us.

One less guy in the other team's rotation is always good news. Wonder what he did? Probably made a short joke within ear shot of his head coach.

I'll never toss that out. I don't care if they lost McCaron. I want to win and if they are missing players, so be it. I'll enjoy it just the same. We still have the first BCS National Championship and it was just as sweet with Outzen playing instead of Weinke.

Hmm, I hear this a lot, but 5 stars in reality are pretty rare. Bammer only has maybe 10 of them on their entire roster.

4 stars? Yah, they have tons. But there are only about 25 5 stars in the country in a given year, and bammer "only" gets 3-4 of them, typically.

Usually the only difference between a 4 and 5 star is that the 5 star plays on a state championship caliber team surrounded by other star players.

I'll take a 3 star that works his butt off everyday over a lazy 5 star who thinks he's doing you a favor just by coming to your University anyday of the week.

Huge loss....for any other program...But NEXT ONE UP for this monster is a hungry eager former all world high school star, who has been chomping at the bit FOR JUST THIS ONE CHANCE!!! It's still preferable to face backups :dance2:

Who was the big hoss from Virginia two classes ago....I keep thinking Kyle Korverson or something?...we were real close on him until the last week before signing day....then SABAN THE HUT just fished him out of the bowl like those frog things in Return of the Jedi....would have been at least a two year starter for us....probably on their punt block team :banghead2:

Yeah, that was ugly. They should not have won that way. I give Saban credit...he caught us off guard with an onside kick on the first play of the game. The key though, is that our defensive backfield was almost all frosh that year, and they exploited the crap out of it.

Still, it was a very close game right up to the half, and we actually intercepted them in the end zone in spite of being so young back there, and the ref ruled it Pass Interference.

It was one of the worst calls I have ever seen in my life. :banghead2::banghead2::banghead2:

Soon...payback is coming. Maybe even today. We need to rip out their black, putrid, evil heart and stomp on it. :rock:

I don't know who they have announced as his replacement, if anyone, but the two deep lists his backup as Shawn Robinson, 320 lbs true frosh rated as the no. 7 DT in the country last year in HS.

Sounds talented, but obviously inexperienced. Them losing Ivory is a break for us for sure. It takes a while to adjust to the speed of the game and overall physicality in the SEC.

Actually there is a bit more to this particular story. The ever reliable Ron Swanson scoured the Alabama boards and came up with the following data:

"Starting NT Brandon Ivory is suspended this week. Backup DEs LaMichael Fanning and Anthony Orr are also suspended.

Sounds like true freshman A'Shawn Robinson will take the NT spot.

Dee Liner will probably burn his RS this week @ DE. Saban mentioned him last night in his presser. "We will probably have to play him this week on the defensive line."
