sometimes i wonder if this guy is actually british. the % of white trash in england is far higher than it is in the united states.

I got this from a recent story where Britain was considered the worst Euro country to live.

"Shoppers in Britain pay higher prices for fuel, food, alcohol and cigarettes and receive poorer health care and education, the survey found."

When you take the time to rank the cost of booze and cigs up there with food and fuel...

i suggest you get out of tennesse and out of london. you seem to have a very limited world view. there is a reason why your country has been in the toilet for 100 years.

By what measure is it 'in the toilet'? I'd love to hear your informed views on this so we can improve our country.

I am out of London. I live in New York. I also have traveled extensively throughout Europe. What is your point?

When a Jumbo Jet lands at Sydney, how do you tell it contains English people?

When they switch the engines off, the whining doesn't stop!

Why live here if you are going to be offended by our flag? You don't move to the beach and then complain about the ocean.

There was an Scotsman, an Englishman and Claudia Schiffer sitting together in a carriage in a train going through Wales. Suddenly the train went through a tunnel and as it was an old style train, there were no lights in the carriages and it went completely dark. Then there was this kissing noise and the sound of a really loud slap. When the train came out of the tunnel, Claudia Schiffer and the Scotsman were sitting as if nothing had happened and the Englishman had his hand against his face as he had been slapped.

The Englishman was thinking: 'The Scottish fella must have kissed Claudia Schiffer and she missed him and slapped me instead.'

Claudia Schiffer was thinking: 'The English fella must have tried to kiss me and actually kissed the Scotsman and got slapped for it.'

And the Scotsman was thinking: 'This is great. The next time the train goes through a tunnel I'll make that kissing noise and slap that English b**tard again

I didnt say larger economies. We were talking about center for the financial community. This goes back to an earlier debate.

Congratulations, our country is 1/40th the size of yours by land mass, and you have more large cities.Well done.

:eek:lol: Thats quite good. Unlike most of my countrymen, I actually like the Scots. They have breathtaking countryside up there. I've never seen anywhere else like it.

you are a 3rd rate power. your standard of living continues to fall behind the united states. not a single major innovation has come out of your country in my or my parents or their parents lifetime.s your socialist govt has made your populace lazy with one of the highest % of residents on welfare in the world. your country is cold and smelly, and your women are unattractive.

a frenchman a indian and a jew go to a farmers house looking for a place to stay for the night. The farmer says "1 of you will have to sleep in the barn". the indian offers first. the minutes later he comes back and says " Ican't sleep in there because there is a cow in there" so the jew goes in. he comes back and says "i can't sleep in there because there is a pig in there." so the french man goes in the barn. ten minuites later the pig and the cow dart out from the barn squeeling

This is true, the UK is a very expensive place to live. Although this study was slightly misleading..they say 'Europe', but the survey only included 10 countries.

Yes, the health care isnt that great compared to some other European countries. It's still great that we can afford to have an option for people that cant afford private though, it'd be nice if it were as comprehensive as somewhere like France. You know some western countries provide literally no safety net, and are happy to allow private insurers to deny or even cancel coverage!! Oh wait, I said 'some western countries'. I meant to say 'one western country'..my mistake.

again, would you care to backup ANYTHING you say with evidence?

our standard of living continues to fall behind the united states

Apart from % of citizens in jail, life expectancy, infant mortality.....

not a single major innovation has come out of your country in my or my parents or their parents lifetime.s

Fairly ironic seeing as the technology you are using to type this drivel was designed and created by an English person.

this is the mistake that has allowed your country and the rest of europe to lag significantly behind this country the last 30 years in standard of living and gdp growth. the emphasis in this country is the indiividual solves their own problems and that encourages innovation and creates a great sense of self worth. in europe the govt is supposed to solve your problems.

fortunately, that western country provides care to everyone who needs it and happens to be the innovator in about 90% of medical breakthroughs. Thank goodness, not everyone wants to limit doc and med pay.

Odd that I was in that business at one of the most prestigious M&A shops in the world and we had no MDs clamoring to go to London to take advantage of the flood of business there.

the americans in my firm sent to london are always the ones who couldn't hack it in new york or los angeles.
