Honestly, it's stupid stuff like pride, image and turf with the rappers. For example, Yo Gotti probably has an 8 figure net worth. Makes no sense why he would want another human being dead. You wouldn't know it based on the social media stuff but Yo Gotti is a soccer dad (his kid is same age as my son). Dude ended up buying a portion of the DC United MLS soccer club as an avenue for his son (his son is a legit player). However, these rappers have grudges and tons of $$$$$ so these poor gang members will do whatever they can to get in that inner circle. That includes killing perceived rivals. Once the gangs get involved, then yes, it's about drugs and weapons as well. Every night in Memphis, these gangs go from one part of town to shoot up those in rival gangs.
